Starting Island

Now that we know that the islands will be closed at the beginning of the game, where do you think we will start?

 

Alderney- Maybe because its not part of new york, and you work your way into the city

Dukes and Broker- maybe because romans taxi depot is there, or because the airport is there

Algonquin- Its the center of Liberty city, or because its most busiest

 

Where do you guys think rockstar will start us and what is your reason?

Roman's Taxi depot is actually located in Broker, so I'm positive we will start off there.

Broker will probably be the starting point, as well as Dukes because they're both attatched to each other. What is Rockstar going to do? Put a huge barrier saying that we're constructing the border between the boroughs? So Dukes and Broker will both probably be accessible from the beginning.

i agree, but i dont like the idea of places being blocked off again, it just seems like it shouldnt be.

We won't start in Algonquin, we'll have to build up to that. Alderney will come later in the game for sure. So, we'll be starting in Broker with Roman's Depot.

It's Broker (The one on the far right.) But heres a thought will the whole island be accesable, or just the Broker Borough and not Dukes?

1.you start off in broker and dukes

2. after a a dozen missions you go to to bohan where you will quickly access Algonquin(like diazes missions).

3. Algonquin for a while

4. then finally alderny is unlocked

I think Algonquin because you see in the trailer that he comes off a boat at a peir.I live in NY and ships from over seas mostly come to Manhattan.I read in a early interview that the whole map will be open from the start and you wont have to unlock different boroughs.

Definitly Broker, since Roman is there. Bohan is next, where we work for Manny and Elizabeta, then Algonquin where we work for McCreary. Then in Alderney we work for Sprunk?

3. Algonquin i bet this is when you kill goldberg and work for McCreary.

4. then alderny where you work for ray and bell.

It's obviously gonna be broker, your only contact is there.

 

In trailer three where it appears to be the beginning sequence of the game, Niko arriving in LC being greeted by Roman, then they go back to Roman's, presumably Niko will stay nearby.

He he stepped of the boat in Broker. It wouldn't make sense for him to start off in Algonquin for a number of different reasons. It's Broker and possibly dukes.
