"Spam" rules

Recommended Posts

What is wrong with:

1. Quoting a person's post to repeat his words, as opposed to doing that and saying "I agree and concur and here let's have some more filler words that really don't change the meaning of my post at all."

2. Responding "Yes." to a thread that bears the name "a question" with the content being "if I buy GTA IV in the UK, will it have Spanish subtitles?".

Because it seems that you can get a warning here over pretty much anything. Neither posts were reported only the second post was reported, and I don't know wtf the reporter wanted of me if I gave him a clear and correct answer. If you're going to have such ridiculous rules, at least mention them in the rules topic, they certainly are not "common sense".

By the way, I want to love the mods as much as I love the admins. sad.gif<3

Yeah, I might understand the first rule somewhat, although this isn't a forum where people jump on quote bandwagons (instead they jump on quote trains) and quote some one person like I did and contribute nothing. But the second post was just utterly ridiculous to warn me over.

Trust me - you're getting away with murder in that area of the forum.

Quoting a post simply to agree with it is a waste of everyone's time. Even if you do add "I agree," but it helps to let us us know that you're not a complete idiot.

As for simply answering "yes," reserve your binary responses for your mother and polls.

I mean, dude, you've been around long enough to know better.
