Playing pool

Recommended Posts

Bad~Boy#17

In the past few days, I got bored and started playing pool in the "Green Bottles".

But for my luck, I don't have a clue how do you play.

We don't have a pool table in our local bar cryani.gif

I know how to hit the ball tounge2.gif but in which order ?

Could you give me a list or something in which order the balls must go in the holes ? turn.gif

Riding shotgun

Just make sure to hit youre desginated design. It will say P1-Stripes or P1-Solids. Try to only hit your desginated design. Pocket the 8 ball ONLY AFTER you've pocketed all your balls.

The game starts by breaking, then whichever ball is potted first, that becomes the type of ball that player is aiming for.

I.E. If you pot a striped ball, then you are playing by potting the stripes.

Get all your balls in, then go for the 8 ball, if you (or AI) pots the 8 ball before potting all of your own, then you'll lose the game.

Your opponent is as bad at it as you are, if not worse. He will usually give you lots of penalty points but potting the wrong balls. But with pool, the points you get and even potting the coloured balls doesn't really matter all that much.

The first person to pot all of their coloured balls can try to pot the black ball (the 8 ball). If they pot it they win. If they pot another ball when they're going for black then they lose. If anyone pots the black ball when they're meant to be going for a colour then they lose

It always struck me as a very strange game biggrin.gif

BTW the controls on the PC are particularly weird.

After you've lined up the shot you have to slide the mouse forwards to pull the cue back.

Then slide the mouse rapidly back to move the cue forwards and strike the ball.

The faster you slide the mouse back, the harder you'll move the cue forwards and the harder you'll hit the cue ball.

No kidding all that to play pool on pc, its much easier on ps2 you just line up the shot and move the right joystick (guess why pool is enjoyed more on ps2) it gets harder the more money you bet and the more "challenging" pool games are at the lil probe inn outside Fort Carson on that road going to area 69

How do you get more power on the strike of the cue stick? If you just push forward on right analogue, it taps the cue ball. If you pull back on right analogue first, you get a little more power than a tap, but for example it is nowhere near enough power to get a clean break of the racked balls. Is there some trick to getting a full power strike, beyond pullback then pushforward on right analogue?
