-!!-SAM-!!-
REALLY FRUSTRATED AS TO THE FACT THAT I INSTALLED SOME MODS ON MY PC FOR SAN ANDREAS, USING "Alci's IMG Editor 1.5.exe". THEN WHEN I WENT TO BOOT UP THE GAME, EVERYTHING WAS FINE UP UNTIL IT CAME TO THE LOADING PART AT THE START OF THE GAME, IT THEN STOPPED LOADING HALF WAY THERE FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES, AND I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A BIT SLOW BECAUSE IT WAS STILL PLAYING THE MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND, WHICH GAVE ME THE IDEA IT HADN'T CRASHED OR ANYTHING. I COULDN'T EXIT THE GAME OR NOTHING.......... CONFUSED HERE, SO IF ANYBODY HAS AN IDEA ABOUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED, LET ME KNOW PLEASE! gtamodder
To find out what version, start up SA, and when you are in the main menu, don't load a save game or start a new game. Look in the bottom right, if there is nothing there, you have V1.0, If not it would say what version you have Oh, and I use Sparks IMG Editors, for putting mods on my game. I had no problems at all with it Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/311249-need-help-asap/#findComment-1057487975 Share on other sites
-!!-SAM-!!-
Thanks alot. Do you have any ideas as to why my game wasn't loading correctly?(eg not putting mods on correctly, ????) If not, it doesn't matter, thanks for the help though. Just checked there, v2.00 (is that better for installing mods or what ? ) Edited February 10, 2008 by -!!-SAM-!!- Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/311249-need-help-asap/#findComment-1057488084 Share on other sites
gtamodder
Thanks alot. Do you have any ideas as to why my game wasn't loading correctly?(eg not putting mods on correctly, ????) If not, it doesn't matter, thanks for the help though. Just checked there, v2.00 (is that better for installing mods or what ? ) V2.0, Is not. You cannot mod the gta3.img, and most mods don't work, but I have seen a few in V2.0, But they did not mod the gta3.img file. Use the downgrader (search for it on google), then install it and then better for mods For the game not loading, either these. The mod is corrupted. Installed the mod wrong. Or you have V2.0 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/311249-need-help-asap/#findComment-1057490287 Share on other sites

Mag-got
The *.ide one goes to some *.ide file, handling goes to handling.cfg find and replace your banshee lines with those lines, just replace the lines of all those files they are found in the data folder Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/311249-need-help-asap/#findComment-1057491470 Share on other sites
Supra4
Those are installed using notepad. Just open the files with notepad, replace the appropriate lines and save. That's all there is to it. Spider-Vice
Don't worry with the "spaces". The game fixes them. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/311249-need-help-asap/#findComment-1057503617 Share on other sites
derty
Don't worry with the "spaces". The game fixes them. Don't worry about fixing spaces, the game ignores white space and they're just spaced like that to make it easier for humans to read and edit.
