SmK
How do I get sound the sound to work when I hook up my Xbox360 to my PC-Monitor with HD cabels? My monitor is an LCD LG - L246WH. I connect the red, green and blue HD cables to my screen, and then I have two more cables which needs to be connected for the sound to work. A white and red cable. My sound card is a Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum, I've read the guide to the sound card, but there isnt anything about any Xbox (obviously), and the guide for connecting a DVD-player to the sound card, didn't work. Now I have these red and white ports in the front of my computer on the sound card, and when I plug the cables in, nothing happens. No sound. It pisses me off Does anybody have any advice? nlitement
Just get an RCA-3.5mm converter and plug it into your audio system.
Kaj.
I can't find anything on the Sound Blaster site on a "Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum". I'm only seeing a "Platinum" series for the XF-i cards. But, since it's a Sound Blaster, I'm assuming it has a dedicated control panel for the card and it's drivers. Now, I'm not too sure about this, but in the control panel for the card it may have an output switch, much like your TV with the various outputs for the different cables. Check that out to see if there's anything about it, if not, get the proper model name and we might be able to help you out a bit more.
GTA3Freak-2001
Just get an RCA-3.5mm converter and plug it into your audio system. Yeah do that but connect it to your soundcards line in connection and you will get sound controlled by your PC and speakers.

Yeah do that but connect it to your soundcards line in connection and you will get sound controlled by your PC and speakers. Or simply plug the two RCA cables into your stereo. Deuce Deuce
Use a dongle to connect the red and white wires so it acts as a standard headphone jack, and plug that it into the black input hole of your sound card, with your speakers coming out of the green input. That was my initial setup, anyhow. I think I tried a few things; that seemed to work the most effeciently (although it was kind of a bugger to have to keep your PC on to play the 360).
