Ryan
Ok so at my school we have about 250 PC's all throught the school, and this week they all got with replaced with brand spanking new 24 inch Apple iMac's. Theres a nice bill for the school. Anyhow to my question. As I was using these this week that got me thinking. I know the system requirements only say Windows OS's, but would SA work on Leopard(iMac OS) is my question. As anybody ever tryed to play SA on a apple computer? As said in the topic title this is just a curiosity question. -Ryan Edited February 9, 2008 by ryan92
0mfg0rz
I've never used a mac, however, Do you (as in you and the rest of the students) receive one of these laptops each? or are they for use for your whole school or year?. In england, we use like accounts, and everyone has one, and you only get so much space to store your data on (100mb for us) (might be different in Canada so that's why I ask). If you can access the hardrive then you should be able to install, not 100% sure if it will work though. So in a way this doesn't really answer your question, but you might not be able to install the game, let alone play it.

Man I wish I recived one of these. Just take a look at this link and you will find they are a desktop computer. There is about 4 in each classroom. I dont really plan to try to install SA on one of them and I probley couldn't because there are firewalls that block us from editing settings searching for games sites ect. I guess my questions moreless do you think the Apple OS would support SA or not.
0mfg0rz
Oh right sorry, I just asummed they were laptops, and when I said receive, I meant with the exchange of payment (we have laptops in my school to keep for your own use (i.e you take the home etc) and you pay monthly for them). Anywhoo, the back on the S.A cover claims to only support Windows 2000, and XP (and obv vista) which wasn't out when I purchased the game, and I think the 'MAC' OS has been around since S.A came out for the pc so my guess is that no, it wouldn't. , although maybe someone has found a way to get the game to run on a Mac. Yeah thats morelss what I was thinking. It would be hard to say becasue I know at another school I went to they had Halo installed on another iMac and Halo is made for Windows, and Sa isn't made specifically for windows. If anbody as tryed this please say so.

hanzibal
emulators are programs that make things work on a OS that shouldn't be working on this OS, like there are n64-emulators that let you play nintendo games on your pc, likewise you have emulators that run windows (or other MS-programs) on a Mac.. and there probably will be such emulators for gta sa.. [EDIT] I did a quick search, and came up with an emulator for gta LCS and VCS on PC, (so it's an PSP-PC-emulator) but nothing yet on SA for a Mac (but LCS on PC is cool too ) Edited February 9, 2008 by hanzibal
dxk
Aren't emulators available? What are they? Emulators are like simulators. Example:- You can play a PSP game in PC by using an emulator. Usually used when illegal downloads. never mind. As said
