Magic_Al
Rethinking again, my deperspectivizing is probably correct because it made a lot of nice right angles, but it's possible the map won't be square like SA. It might have the proportions of an HDTV. Any way you do it, there's a lot of water in the corners.

gravs
this picture shows that the 3d skyline view rockstar has released makes the map look like it goes for miles and miles but there isnt as much back there as shown in this picture, because the picture is being taken from the empire state building aka the pink dot on the map. Howard04
Suddenly, it dosen't look as big.... I wonder if it should be like this instead. Maybe they mean it has 75% as much land area as San Andreas. (I haven't tried to make that measurement.) It'll be like that, but I don't know if both the maps have the right scale for it. So it's off.
Deuce Deuce
I honestly don't know why you're fretting about it so much. Infact, I can confidently say that GTAIV will feel a lot bigger than SA, even if it isn't. It's all about how much of it the game will make you use, and in this case being all of what LC has to offer, as opposed to SA's unused space (which, by the way, were rarely used due to them not actually leading anywhere or having a purpose). Take a look at Rockstar's website and the overview of LC... that's only a 3rd of it.
Ricksta
It maybe smaller but theres twice as much detail and things to explore so it will feel massive! btw, just pre-ordered my gta iv play.com yaay
Death Dealer
I think the land area will be larger relative to SA than the last pic. I don't think all that water will surround the north and south side of Dukes/Broker. So that land has to be added to the rest. Alderney, Algonquin, and Dukes/Broker will each be much larger than Los Santos. Bohan might be a little smaller than San Fierro. But everything is so tightly packed together, I think it will feel larger and more easy to get lost than SA. It will take a long time to know the whole city streets. SCLASS
As long as there is as much urban area ( or a little more ) than SA, im good....
Mad Tony
I'm extremely happy with the map size. There'll definitely be a lot more urban space than SA, and absolutely no dead spots.
