zooloo75
Ok, since I heard that Francis Intl. Airport is in this game, that means Shorside Vale is east of this piece of lc, I'll show you a map of the full LC so far. This means that the tunnel leads to the west side of the entire Liberty city. Liberty city is one big state. (State of liberty?) Edited February 9, 2008 by zooloo75
mikesta
Not to bust your balls, but Shoreside Vale isn't in this game mate. Can you elaborate a little more, please.
CrocodileDundee
We already know the full map of Liberty City, and shoreside vale will not be in IV. It seems that you think that IV's and III's Liberty City is the same, It won't, IV's Liberty City will be completley different than III's LC. mikesta
Francis International isn't in the game, is it? It is, mate. I think one of the magazines confirmed it. Or was it in the 90 minute preview couple of weeks ago? I don't remember, but it's in. EDIT: Liberty City has one airport, based on JFK, called Francis International Airport (yes, it's the same name given to the airport in GTA3). It is located in on the East of the city. -taken from gta4.net Edited February 9, 2008 by Mikesta

I can only imagine solid, non-enterable planes like in GTA3 though, a right cocktease At least you can fly the heli's this time
Vanilla Shake
Francis International Airport will be based off of John F. Kennedy Airport in Queens (Dukes). I remember one preview saying that there will be planes taking off from the airport, and planes also landing. That's good, because if they didn't have that then it wouldn't fully feel like an airport. That's how I felt about the airports in San Andreas. As far as I know, this is the only location in the game that shares the same name as its counterpart in GTA III/LCS. If it were featuring all of those names, then the Lincoln Tunnel would be called the Porter Tunnel instead of the Booth Tunnel, Algonquin would be Staunton, etc. TC718 / <629 / CF5
zooloo75
I cant really make the map... But, if the tunnel leads to West LC (GTA IV) then that means there is a small portion of Shorside vale that R* isnt telling us about. This isnt a remade LC, why would R* just take away with the original LC? This is a different part of LC, and LC is one big state. I remember in a screen or a preview and read something about liberty city is a state?...

The Booth Tunnel is based off of the Lincoln Tunnel, which in real life connects Midtown Manhattan to New Jersey. In the game, New Jersey (Alderney) is the western-most borough of Liberty City. There will be no Shoreside Vale. And as for Liberty City being a state, that's just a rumor right now, based off of what the license plates read. zooloo75
I guess the only way to find out is when the game is out.

I think the website makes it clear there is supposed to be more to Liberty City's state then the city alone....after all the description given to Bohan is 'Practically upstate.' Mr. Someguy
Well, in LCS the tunnel sign said "upstate". So in my mind, the new LC is "upstate".

No, No you are all getting this wrong. If you guys were from the New York area you would understand the reference they are making. Most New Yorkers consider anywhere in New York that is not NYC upstate, and since the Bronx are the most northern borough in NYC many consider it on the border of upstate NY. Get it?
