Well, we don't know the exact storyline, really. Also, they said it won't be a "rags to riches" story like the previous games, but more of a "rags to slightly better rags," so no mansions, but probably nice condos. Also, when Roman said the mansion was coming, he was lying. From the looks of it, he can't even afford a decent apartment, let alone a mansion. He's a dreamer. BulletproofShooter Posted February 9, 2008 Share Posted February 9, 2008 From what I've been seeing from the videos, there was a recurring person, the man with the blonde hair. In one of the videos he wields an AK and forces Roman to slowly rise from the dumpster. In one of the game trailers he was with another man, asking "Who do you work for?" when Roman and Niko were tied up. In my opinion, no longer following the normal to rich story will be a refreshing change of pace. It seems more concentrated on actual story, which my guess would be taking care of skeletons in the closet, settling debts, and trying to live for tomorrow. You do play as Niko who has come to America from some place in Europe (possibly from the Baltic countries) at the urging of his cousin Roman Bellic who claims to have made a huge success of himself but sadly only owns a run-down taxi business.
