When fresh out of the academy they send you to the WORST precincts in the city, then throw you on a foot post by yourself and hand you a hagstrom map, and your radio. Since your a probie you dont know the radio codes, or where the fvck you are, so you use your verbal judo to your advantage, get into scruffles and you begin to learn how to defend yourself. For the guys who dont mind getting into fights....or actually like it, they stay on foot for the first couple years, the guys who dont like it either work inside or in a relief car. I stayed on the same foot post for 2 years locking the same people up over and over again. I've had "air mail" (any thing heavy thrown off a roof to hit a cop) dopped at me more times than I dropped my pen. The guys on this website have no fvcking clue as to what goes on in the day of a life of a cop, then they have the ballz to call me a puzzy and them a tough guy. How I doubt a NYPD cop would post on a game forum and sound so uneducated as you. My uncle and cousin and aunt are all cops on the westbank onf new orleans. i live in the hood but im not a gangster of any kind. I know what goes on in the hood and i get the perspective from a cops. They may play games and they may not but cops work almost 7 days a week so if he works NYPD and since my knowledge of NYPD from my experience of living there my whole life there does he have the time to do this stuff he's doing? also when have you hared of a cop who usually makes over 60,000 a year living in the hood? Second no where in this thread did I say I live in the ghetto, I WORK in the ghetto and live on long island I made $52,000 last year and I'm not at top pay yet. I work a 4/2 scooter chart on 2300x0700 on a cpop car in an A house. Yes your right when I write up a UF-61 I do use proper english and grammer along with the occasional DD-5 and 49. Also you've been on this thread well over the time I posted the question you've finally answered yet it took you a long time and the answer wans't very long so why would you as a NYPD officer post a comment so late when a cop is supposed to answer questions swiftly? I bought every GTA game from the series and when I found out GTA4 was set in NY I came on here to see the updates on whats going to be new in the game. I dont care about the "what ifs" just whats going to be in it. I didnt know cops werent allowed to play video games or use the internet like a normal person, because after all we are different right? And please, NYC "hoods" are not that dangerous unless you are walking around with a f*cking blue or red flag sticking out your back pocket. If you are honestly scared to walk anywhere through NYC you are a bitch. sh*t happens, why live in fear? I agree however with the OP, that game's should capture the "look" of ghetto's accurately.
