Jonny04 Posted February 9, 2008 Share Posted February 9, 2008 Just imagine flying through all that, and at night, its gonna be so Sweeeeeeet man its unbelivable in my opinion. This really has surpassed my expectations, it looks like the map suits the size it should be. Having seen that I just wanna grab a chopper, or a boat and cruise around and see the skyline and city of LC in all its glory. Obv I setill wanna drive around it will be fab, but its unbelievable how much this captures NYC, I really appreciatr what r* have done now, as I'm a I <3 NY type of person, this is fab. According to the date, it may be red and green for Christmas or even green for Islamic holiday Eid ul-Fir. I think it'll be really awesome flying a heli through New York, going at break-neck speeds all while trying not to slam in to the side of a building. Usually I'll take meal at 3:00 AM and pull into a small park in queens just off the east river where it would be the north tip of roosevelt island facing Manhattan. Looking at the skyline you can see select lights on in most buildings, cars driving through the FDR, and you can actually hear other sirens from manhattan at that time. Thats my favorite spot and favorite view of NYC. 3AM is usually my slowdown hour, no jobs nothing. Just a minute of relaxing and taking in the city. I plan on recreating that in the game. I'm REALLY looking forward to catching a helicopter and just hovering over some locations at a low altitude, just to be in the canyons of buildings, low enough to see the traffic good, and high enough to have a panoramic view of the city. Thats awesome Finest, makes me wistful for my many wasted hours of youth hanging out in The City. Its great to find a nice spot like that and just take it all in late night. I want to go hang out in Washington Square, play some guitar and chess, see what the Rastas have to offer, then head to Gray's Papaya or the Peculiar Pub. I was working a mutual for another cop (not going to get into what that is, its not important for the story) and we picked up a job for public intox at the park. I was never in there before so when we pulled up both me and my partner got out, and I was just in awe of the beautiful sight. from that spot there is nothing between queens and manhattan, and its dead center of the city. I'm off the next two nights (tonight and tomorrow) then taking a personal day on sunday night (celebrating valentines since I cant get wednesday or thursday off). I'll try to get it on monday night, my partner keeps a canon camera with him, I'll try to snap a panoramic pic of it....if I can figure how to upload it.
