Greene
His accent is authentic. It's a light Dublin accent, like mine. You think thats a Dublin accent? If I had to place it somewhere in Ireland, then Dublin would be the last place, its sounds more like an accent from the west of Ireland. Kinda like an over-blown Galway accent, but even then its not very authentic.
$tr4nger
Well I live in Dublin. I don't have have a heavy Dublin accent, and neither does the speaker. It's closest to a Dublin accent. Then again I only watched that clip once.

And I really wouldn't call the accent in the trailer a light accent. It actually kinda reminds me of a guy I used to work with, he was a Limerick man. Thing is most people just think the Dub accent is the typical heavy type. People have a light accent aswell. The speakers accent is similar to mine. I was born in Dublin and been living here all my life. ..but yeah I do need to watch it again. As I said I only watched it once through. Still pretty certain though. Lol nah the typical (heavy) Dublin accent thats most associated with the city is much stronger than that.

I'm just saying that I wouldn't consider this accent to be a Dublin accent in any way. It doesn't really matter though. I'm just arguing for the sake of argument. $tr4nger
Just watched it again and I'm still certain that is a Dublin accent. No, it's not the typical strong Dublin accent but it's the same as mine. I know it's hard for someone to hear their own accent but thing is, I would consider that normal speaking (as most do with if they have the same accent). It is understandable though, if your not from Dublin, to want to associate it with the most notable and strongest accent. Typhus
I've been advocating an Irish Mob since the start. Glad to see that they've taken the hint. I hope that the actual Irish Mobsters are not stereotypes but fleshed out characters. I mean, it's cool with the bar because it's done for comic effect. But the actual mob bosses should be a different kettle of fish.
callmeNikoBellic
Beer not 'Bee' Also the Liberty City Baseball team, would be popular among the Irish Mob, and their symbol looks similar to the red sox (Boston) i love how rockstar makes all gang settings hilariously steriotypical to their culture

Greene
I'm kinda in the dark about this whole Tallighte thing, care to explain? Sounds like a bad district. It's called 'Tallaght', and yeah, its kinda notorious in Ireland for being a bad area. A lot of shootings and stabbings take place their, its never out of the Irish news. Yeah and I have a feeling they may have picked it intentionally for that fact. I think they actually did a good bit of research. I doubt it will be mentioned in the storyline though! The place is dirty for Irelands standards but not GTA standards!

grandta
Thats not a real Irish accent. It's more of a American attempt of an Irish accent.
Dhaga2
I have a very thick Dublin accent and that sounds nothing like any accent I've heard before except for the little man in Lassie and thats fake. Tallaght isn't so bad, I'd rather it to Finglas or Ballymun, now they are sh*teholes.
