groovymonkey2003 Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 This is a surprise, I would have thought R* would not use real trademark titles for anything in the game such as "the statue of liberty" is the "statue of happiness" ...ect ... Turns out The Majestic Hotel is in fact a famous New York hotel ... even looks slightly like the one in the game! (Notice the flags and the arched windows and some similar brick work, also the RED hotel name) Could this get R* into copyright issues? Also, I was sure I had heard of this hotel before, and realized that it is where the classic 90's movie "Dunston Checks in" is set. It's all good and legal, in one way or another. Either it's so different that they are allowed to, or they got legal permission from the Hotel itself.
