circas Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 by the looks of the 3D map rockstar gives us and the rough overhead view outlined map on the website, it looks as if this map is going to be huge as already mention by other sources and people. you can pretty much see for miles on the 3D map with great draw distance and detail. so i guess the main reason im posting this is to see if people are satisfied with what they see with this somewhat complete look of the map? It could be the size of Vice city (similar island layout) or a little smaller than SA. The night shot of the skyline was kind of disappointing to me because i expected more really tall buildings and i expected the statue of happiness to be a little further offshore. but other than that it's great. When it takes 30 minutes to drive to one side to another its seems allittle much but LC looks like a good size. I'm sure the front buildings are from real gameplay, but all those little lights behind Broker look edited to me. I doubt it will be THAT big. To nlitement: Does it really matter which way the statue is facing? To dragonrock: From the 3d map on this page, it looks more like an industrial area, Francis International Airport (watch Manny's video, and a subway sign says that trains go to F.I. piffspace Posted February 9, 2008 Share Posted February 9, 2008 it seems like, that. with all the new crazy crap in the next gens, the map could be way huger. i mean. the mapsize doesnt make it a good game, (Just Cause, for example, sucked, and the map size was at least 3 times the size of SA.) its still gonna be awesome. but in the next game like 4 years from now, the map will be huge with detail and everything. yeah. something to look forward to.
