EDDS Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 I'd be happy if Rockstar just let us free roam with 2 players online, i can't say how much fun me and a mate used to have in SA on multiplayer even in its limiting state. we used to get a 4 or 5 star wanted level and try to make it from CJ's house to San Fierro airport and I'd steal the chopper, fire it up while mate mate held off the cops and once the rotors where running full whack ready for takeoff he'd jump in and we'd fly to Las Venturas while trying to dodge incoming missiles, once there we'd steal a dodo and try to make it to the pier in Los Santos where we'd land. we only ever made it twice as we used to get blown out of the sky by the hydra most of the time lol. I'd maybe like some side missions that need to be done with 2 players in GTA IV. If they announce team death match and ctf and all that I'm going be sorely let down as i don't know anyone who wants that kind of thing in gta. onelilfizzle Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 Totally agree with both of you. split screen is a must, and 2 player free roam online is just kickass! you should be able to call up a buddy and have him help out with one of your missions to, that would just be like having the cake and eating it to! RONIN1191 Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 I never was any good at the split screen action; I find myself watching the other guy to see where he was headed (you know, so I could cap him from behind) if we were playin DM or CTF but those sorts of games are truly at home with FPS or other shooters where the focus is on that style of gameplay. I'd rather see what was in SA, the co-op missions where you could do as the first poster described. Since I'd never actually attempted that, I'm pretty pissed that I no longer have the game and now CAN'T do it. Awwww....that truly SUCKS!!!! Well in that case, you've got 2 teams of 8, going round the city causing as much chaos as possible. At the end of X amount of time, whichever team has destroyed the most wins.
