The dude at the end of trailer three is seen in that shot with Niko and Patrick, and then there's the guy that was with him at the end of trailer 3. They're all white tough guys who aren't italian or russian... and i don't think they're standard cracker wasps... they seem a little to cool (no offense). Because as long as there is precedant I can believe that they're in it. Basically, if it's happened before I think that there's a chance of it happening in GTA IV. Irish? Yup, they've been around recently. Italians? Yep. Serbs? One Serb led the Westies for a while (Bosko Radonjich). But Jews? At the start of the 20th Century sure, there was Bugsy Siegel, Myer Lansky. But I'm not so sure about now. Although "Kosher Nostra" sounds cool as hell, I wonder who comes up with these marvellous names? In any case, I believe that a small knit group of them may appear. Perhaps a businessman who ascociates himself with another faction in the city. But as a standalone gang I doubt it. Remember the Forelli's in GTA III? Near the point of extinction, I believe that if the Jews appear in this game the circumstances will be similar. Wikipedia on the Irish Mob: The group is known to have links to the Italian Mafia, the Irish Republican Army, Biker gangs, the Roofers Union, Polish and Jewish organized crime figures, and various independent drug and hijacking gangs of various European ethnicities. Maybe these different gangs are banding together more than they used to. And hey, the Biker's are in this game so you never know. As far as there being a very powerful modern Jewish crime syndicate in New York, I have my doubts but it is possible. There are however the occasional Jew involved with the Italians or Irish (if you've seen Godfather part two think of Hyman Roth), and plenty of crooked business men in New York, London, etc are Jews. And I've heard that there are organized crime groups made up of Jews in Isreal. I believe the term "Kosher Nostra" was created in reference to guys like Meyer Lansky and Bugsy Siegel. I live in the Detroit area of Michigan nad in the 1920's and 1930's there was an all jewish mafia called the purple gang. they were a pretty sick bunch of guys. they don't exist around here anymore. Germans, Poles and Russians would make great pedestrians in the game, and it is not that strange, considering that a lot of them live in New York. I am pretty sure that the Jewish Mafia would be more civil; or, in perspective, they would be more involved in Tax fraud and money laundering than violent activities.
