Judaism isn't a heritage nor a nationality since there were so many intermarriages in the middle ages. That's why jews look like your normal average European. Jews are a part of every single freakin country in Europe ranging from England, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Poland, Latvia, Greece, Italy etc. Most are descendants of Germans though (if you have a German surname, which i do. Yay me!!!) Though most moved to the east, so there are loads of Russian and Polish Jews today. And there are a lot of Russian Jews in Brooklyn today and they are a part of the mob.
