Ryder 556
Ok so i was wondering if it's possible to make bullet holes when you shoot a wall, i know I could use a txd but how can i load it in to the game when i shoot a wall. Is it even possible?

Ryder 556
ok then but what about adding somthing like the sparks when a bullet hits a wall or car it sparks and when it hits a ped it's blood. And what's the op-code for the sparks/blood splatters so i could try somthing myself or is it hardcoded?
Mag-got
Doesn't it already create sparks? It's hardcoded, you can change the txd and sound to make something else fly out if you wish.
rebel_36
ive once replaced the bullethitsmoke particle with bullet holes, the problem is that particles always face the camera so if you shoot a wall from the side it would look a little weird, that was for vc btw ive tried to do the same for sa but sa is a bit more optimized so it uses the same particle data entries for multiple particles ingame, so basically changing the bullet smoke data would also affect the tire smoke particles i wish there was a flag we could set so that the game draws a particle ontop of a surface, like it does with the bloodpool, then we would have everything sorted
AK-73
For VC it is possible with some coding. Dexx and I have been debating it but never got to do it. Alex
roby65
you can use a scm hook and create a texture quad where to place the hole, the problem is to find the collision point....

Again - for VC I can tell you how to make use of the proc the game uses to find it. I make good use of that proc in my GTA:FPS mod. As for SA, I am not a SA modder.
