Parachutes would be nice, but if there not in there I look forward to parking my car under a building, jumping off and crushing it, I cant wait! I mean, it'd be fun to destroy a few cars by jumping 50 stories to your death, but I'd like to be able to make it a chase up to the top, and jump off the building, then float down and steal a car in smooth getaway. I'm fine with Rockstar removing planes so long as it makes sense, but removing parachutes is just stupid. There is NO real reason that parachutes should not be in the game besides Rockstar just not wanting to take the time and implement them. Rockstar is stressing the importance of verticality. Helicopters are now emphasized over planes, buildings will have large and detailed interiors, people can fall out of buildings, and we don't even get parachutes? It's like not having any salt on your popcorn. So... what's the excuse? *"It doesn't fit Niko's character." **"It's too unrealistic." ***"We wanted to focus on other things." *It fits Niko's character perfectly. It's more reasonable than a Faggio. **It's more realistic than Niko jacking an entire helicopter. ***The parachute would perfectly compliment all the features of GTA4 Rockstar is touting. Wouldn't it be high priority? Can someone explain this reasonably without riding Rockstar's c***? Maybe ask whether theyve been told there wont be parachutes or what. Its pretty obvious the person who wrote the article couldnt articulate his ideas clearly. Yeah, parachutes arent fantasy. But neither are airplanes, tanks, and jetpacks. These things exist, so it allows me to believe he meant something else by it. Im not going to discredit him because of it though. You can say "I never said this or that", but its pretty clear where your stance is and its not on the fence. Or like to be coming from. Im not a hundred percent on the ball with the chutes being taken out since its a completely legitimate thing to have in a game where the vertical is emphasized. If they were allowed one of the greatest opportunities to witness GTA they must be pretty credible in the eyes of R*. And if its good enough for them its good enough for me.
