I've always knew about the auto aim ability in SA but I too could never figure it out. I just used manual aim.

I think you have to go into options then something.

It would be great if it is possible to auto aim even with mouse + keyboard configuration,

some weapons like shotgun and desert eagle are much better with auto aim

switch controls to Joypad, but you loose mouse-look. It comes in handy on a few missions,

and was also what everyone did back in the day to "stop the wild camera" when driving,

however I like to use my mouse to look into my turns.

Auto-aim on PC beats me totally. The freedom to aim with the mouse is pretty cool and it gives you the feeling of total control over the in-game character. So, I prefer manual aim over auto-aim anytime.

I really don't see the crack with auto-aiming on pc, If you wanna auto-aim, buy S.A for a console. Mouse And Keys is SO much better.

I need it in some scenes. So an ability to scroll between the auto and manual modes would've come in handy. If anyone finds anything like this, call me.

2 points here

  • Auto-Aim is on console ONLY, never saw it on PC
  • Auto-aim sucks ass, you shoot lazy and always aims for the body instead of the head, only in close combat, it would be handy to make quick headshots

The video in the beginning of this thread disapproves your statement smile.gif However, only partially, as the auto-aim is enabled in Zombie mod afa i am concerned... never saw it on standart GTA.

Auto-Aim with Keyboard and Mouse.

Easiest way is to get a USB GamePad (12 button minimum). If you already have a console game, Adapter cables are available. Then you can play like on the consoles. Much more fun than keyboard and mouse and this game is designed for GamePad use.

OR if you must use the Keyboard and Mouse then:

Aim Weapon = [Del] key or [Caps] lock key

or [RMB] Right Mouse button.

Next target = E or [Enter] key

or [MWU] Mouse Wheel Up.

Previous target = Q or [.] on Num Pad

or [MWD] Mouse Wheel Down.

Fire Weapon = [0] on Num Pad or Left [Ctrl] key

or [LMB] Left Mouse Button.

Manual page 7.
