Forfit Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 Hi, i have AVG Free anti-virus, and according to it, i've never had a virus in about, oh i don't know, the past 5 years or so. I do alot of online gaming so not having AV running in the background would be nice, and convenient at the same time so i wouldn't have to turn it off/on everytime (i'm lazy). Basically when i'm browsing the internet i know what NOT to click on so i feel somewhat safe i guess, and i'm behind a router with built-in firewall yadda yadda if that even matters. So should i uninstall AVG and just keep my anti-spyware software installed...or am i just being silly? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean, knowing my luck i'll uninstall then something crazy will happen the next day and i'll be scrambling to reinstall everything and reapply all the updates just to get rid of whatever it may be. Otter Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 Yeah, that's just the thing. Plus, I find myself scanning everything I download before installing it - just force of habit.
