NinjaJones
My parents don't care...my even dad plays it sometimes! Only thing they don't like is the prostitutes but I never "use" them anyway...all they do is give you health and I have cheats for that...
Ebass
Well being 21 I can buy it for myself, but for the first GTA I got them to buy it for me in a shop when they didn't know what it was. Of course I didn't show them it, but my brother being an idiot as soon as he saw it was like "Dad come see this!" and that was the end of that. Still I borrowed it off a friend and no-cd cracked it soon enough. I'm surprised that everyone here seems to be under 18?

The majority of people that play video games are under 18...an M rating on a game isn't going to change that. Most adults stopped playing video games when they were kids... chrisisking
my mum is really strict when it comes to any 18 games. i'm 15 myself and understand the way the world works and why people under a certain mental age shouldn't play these games. i am not one of these people however. i have always had my ways of getting GTA games but always had to hide them from my mum. I think i'm in good progress with changing her mind about getting IV though. she agrees that i am mature enough to handle this kind of stuff but she still refuses to let me play them. thanks for the topic by the way. it gives me a chance to ask a question. can some of you give me some tips as to how to get her mind around this 18 buisness? many thanks in advance! Order it from an australian website, so when it comes home it will say 15+, she might think that it is not as bad. You sir, are a genius! That is a good idea. GTA has taught you well. Yeah just as long as the aus version isn't cut at all I have always lived with my nan and grandad for most of my life (don't ask long story) and even when I was young neither of them minded. I first got Doom64 with my N64 when I was about 11 and it was a 15 and they were always cool with it. When I lived with my mun she didn't mind either, but both my nan and mum are more into mario and the like. I'm 18 now still live with me nan (grandad died ) so I can get it myself now and it was my nan that got me San An, Vice City and GTAIII when I was younger so I've been lucky when it comes to all this stupid censorship, also I've always been very mature for my age everyone would tell me even my teachers. So I ain't no nutjob and I have played all sort of genres througout my life, I think its safe to say games don't kill people, people do!
Jew4Life
my parents hate the game, all of it....but my mom would buy it for me anyways. weird thing is, she cared more about the price (she wouldn't get me SA for 50 euros)

gibbs1189
I remember my mom was watchin me play Vice City while I was in the middle of a shootout. She was laughin at how bad of a player I was <_< I mean come on. I can only work so well with bad controls. Lol thats pretty funny. I let my mom play SA and saints row. She liked Saints Row more because of the ragdoll and people being ejected through windows...i never realized how evil she was O.o

mc420
well my dad played the game once. I remember it like it was yesterday... He was driving in a cheetah, in shoresid vale, gta3. He was driving pretty fast and hit another car. he then asked me (not joking around) how to give the other driver his insurance information. I laughed and haven't let him play since.
