When I was 12 they wouldnt let me play but I did anyway I started off on GTA 3. Played all of them ever since. Beating them all. Now my mom doesnt care. She even plays from time to time. My dad is also a cop and plays it sometimes too. My grandma is getting me it. She wont play but she watches... And Laughs! What are your parents like when it comes to Gta? Azzerwazzer Posted February 7, 2008 Share Posted February 7, 2008 my mum is really strict when it comes to any 18 games. i'm 15 myself and understand the way the world works and why people under a certain mental age shouldn't play these games. i am not one of these people however. i have always had my ways of getting GTA games but always had to hide them from my mum. I think i'm in good progress with changing her mind about getting IV though. she agrees that i am mature enough to handle this kind of stuff but she still refuses to let me play them. thanks for the topic by the way. it gives me a chance to ask a question. can some of you give me some tips as to how to get her mind around this 18 buisness? many thanks in advance! But she wouldn't get me Max Payne because she heard that you see the guys kill the wife and the baby. I kept telling her GTA was much more violenter and she wouldn't believe me. Well after about 5 years, i picked up Max Payne the other day It's ok, but you don't see them raping the wife and all you see is the baby (looks more like a blanket with nothing in it) lieing there. Oh and when my mom saw me play Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, she didn't want me playing it anymore, and she regretted buying it because i was beating up a woman in the game. But other than that she hasn't said anything about GTA at all!!! And my dad doesn't know anything about video games, so he could care less. They still don't like me playing them but they let me do my own thing. They know after playing gta im not going to go jack a car or shoot people. Well, manhunt I can understand, anybody who plays this game is a psycho and will undoubtedly grow up to be a living killing spree, raping babies while hallal(Spelling) slaying old grandma's... My mum just tries to avoid seeing me playing them and when she does she just rolls her eyes. I do tend to tone down my playing when they are in the room though but other than that it's no problem.
