personalcheeseit
I just downloaded San Andreas Radio. You know, the one where you can extract the music as well as the ads from he game. It prompted me to put in the PS2 disk. It then read it, and I can extract or burn the audio tracks. I noticed some .txd and.img files when I explored the disc. What would happen if someone made a copy of the disc, only instead of keeping R*'s cars or map, put their own files in there? Basically the same thing as modding on PC. Either I stumbled on the biggest PS2 revolution, or had a thought that was tried and failed. Tell me either way
Supra4
Well, that would require either a fliptop, a hard disk in your PS2 or a chip. And considering the difficulties peopel are having with LCS and VCS conversions, I think there are some differences.
personalcheeseit
I thought I was onto something... oh well. Soooo, If I want to mod, I should just go and get the PC version?
Supra4
It's the most logical choice. Just make sure you know which version you buy, as different versions may need some work to allow modding more easily. Ideally you'd look for a v1.0 or v1.01 game, but these are difficult to find nowadays.
