I think for driving they will be:

triangle exit vehicle

circle handbrake

R3 +swivel - look around/aim

L3 +swivel - steer

R3 +push - side missions

R3 +hold - rear view

L3 +push - horn

select view

start pause menu/map /phone?

R2 +L2 turn off

-----------------------------------

On foot:

R2 change weapon right scroll

L2 change weapon left scroll

R1 shoot

L1 ???

updown change radio station? |or| access phone?

leftright change radio station? |or| access phone?

triangle enter vehicle/activate mini game/melee?

X hold-run, tap-sprint

square jump

circle melee?cover?

R3 +swivel - look around/aim

L3 +swivel - move

R3 +push - look behind

L3 +push - crouch/cover

select change view/

start start menu/map/phone?

-----------------------------------

Helicopter controls:

R2 turn on/ascend

L2 descend

R1 rudder right

L1 rudder left

updown change radio station?

leftright change radio station?

triangle exit

X shoot?(military helicopter?)

square shoot?(military helicopter?)

circle shoot?(military helicopter?)

R3 +swivel - look around

L3 +swivel - pitch/roll

R3 +push - side mission(emergency helicopter)

R3 +hold - rear view

L3 +push - hover

select change view

start start menu/map/phone?

R2 +L2 turn off wow.gif that would be fun while flying biggrin.gif

---------------------------------

Boat controls:

R1 shoot

L1 ???

updown change radio station?

leftright change weapon?

triangle exit

X ???

square ???

circle ???

R3 +swivel - look around/aim

L3 +swivel - steer

L3 +push - ???

select change view

start start menu/map/phone?

R2 +L2 turn off

-------------------------------

leftright ???

triangle ???

X tap-swim faster

square jump? climb out?

circle ???

R3 +swivel - look around/aim?

L3 +swivel - move

R3 +push - look behind?

L3 +push - ???

select change view

-------------------------------------------------

When behind cover:

R3 +swivel - pre-aim uncharted style

R1 blind fire

L1 - poke out from cover (GoW/Uncharted style)

------------------------------------

As you can see there are alot of unknowns if GTA IV uses R2 and L2 to accelerate/brake so I think that either the controls will be really re-worked or the controls will stay almost the same (With X andsquare to accelerate/brake)

I don't know if this will be a good topic or not so don't flame. If you don't like it just don't reply or ask for a lock.

Basically i'm just wondering what you all think of the controls I have here and if you have any correction ideas that make sence?

I have a 360. what now?

They have the same buttons with different symbols (2 joysticks, 4 arrows, 4 shapes, 2 triggers, 2 bumpers, start, select) so what now!? Think before you post...there are no pictures for the 360 buttons so I used what was there jeez...

Edit: GTASIX beat me to it...

in one of the latest previews may have been on kikzo they mentions that it was one of the xbox 360 bumber buttons (think it was the right one) which is ps3's equivalent to R1 which was used to slide into cover so the controls may be slightly different

I think, that if it aint broke, don't try to fix it. The current control schema utilized to date would seem to me to be just fine. Thoughts?
