SKIN HELP

OK, I DOWNLOADED SOME SKINS FOR VICE CITY BUT THEY KEEP COMING OUT LIKE THIS.....

 

 

AND NOW FOR SOME REASON, MY DEFAULT PLAYER COMES OUT THE SAME WAY.......

 

 

THE ONLY ONE THAT WORKS IS NINJA WHICH IS GRAY FOX AND I THINK IT IS ONLY WORKING BECAUSE IT IS A VCM FILE AND IM USING VICE CITY MOD MANAGER FOR IT. PLEASE HELP ME

I think when you used the mod installer, it replaced your original player.dff with one that has been

retextured. That's my best guess. Another reason why mod installlers/managers are bad news:

you don't always know what's changed, so you lose all control. Some have a backup feature, but

for the most part, they are more hassle than they are worth. I think you'll need to restore your

backup of your player model, or reinstall I'm afraid.

Not sure those are Vice city skins. Looks like the placement of the various parts in the TXD file is different than it should be in VC. Those skins don't happen to be from GTA III or San An?

 

And why would you want to replace Tommy? he's way cooler than any comic hero

Not a TXD file in VC, just a 256x256 (or other sizes, default is 256) bitmap in the Skins folder
