Niko only refers to this person "SPEACIAL SOMEONE" wouldnt be that big of a hit if we knew his or her name right? "I need this! A guarantee that you will find this man!" "We have to find him" "Ten years... iv been searching" So.... my guess is that special someone is not just one mission..... R_A_LEE202 Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Well i think that this special someone will make a small cameo at the very begining of the game, its common fact that that you always meet or have some form of contact with the main last boss of the game, think about it: GTA3 begining see's you betrayed by Catalina aka the last boss, Vice City is the same with that mob boss and Lance Vance San Andreas see's you partly get arrested by Tenpenny LCS has no main last boss VLC see's you get screwed over in the military by Jerry So if Rockstar go by tradition, that Special Someone will be seen in someway that the very begining of the game. No the new preivews don't. They muted the tv, because of a possibility of the mention of the special someone. Why make a whole trailer based, and called 'the special someone'? ffs. Mr. Self Destruct Posted February 5, 2008 Share Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) I have a feeling that that special someone is a grave enemy, that has probably done some heinous sh*t to people close to our dearest Niko (family ect). Who doesn't love a good revenge story? I have a feeling that this person possibly holds some sort of corrupt lucrative government position? Hence him being very difficult to locate. I suppose it goes along well with the whole satirical element of the right wing, quasi dystopian new age Liberty City... But then again, I'm kinda stoned so I could read this tomorrow, and it may make no sense at all. Who ever this special someone is, they are obviously an integral part of the game. Also I feel I should say that these "Who is the special someone?" topics are getting a tad old. Oh and, thats not how you spell "Special". I doubt Roman is actually the person Niko's looking for, but he could still be assisting this "special someone" in some way--and I really, really hope that's not true. Aside from simply being tired of all of these backstab-clichés--which, in turn make the storyline ever-so predictable from the moment you figure it out--I just think it would work better if he was on your side the entire time. I mean, he is family, right? Simply put, Roman just seems like the perfect comedic-relief sidekick, haha. I agree with you. The main enemy (not necessarily the special someone) will probably f*ck our sh*t up near the beggining of the game. Also I would say niko is about 40 something and vc is in the 80s so niko would be around 20 at that time. So that is some pretty good thinking there dude.
