fishermanGTA
Every GTA title so far has had one very heavy theme. San Andreas was very anti drug, Vice City was all about the rich life of the drug lord. Now with all the info we have gotten such as the Little Jacob and Niko posters found on the street, and the more recent marketing technique by R* in the form of some posters being found around the streets of New York Link, and of course the cool news that peds and cops will remember your face and react accordingly when they next see you, I think that IV's major theme could be a game of cat and mouse. We know we will be hiding out in dingey apartments instead of mansions, and that we are looking for someone, and someone is looking for us. What do you think? Sgt. Cortez
well, surely it'll be very different from VC (which somehow reflected the culture of the 80s, shiny and corrupted). I have the feeling it's going to feel a bit more realistic (not too much anyway) and will be a lot about the underground illegal stuff. Illegal immigrants doing some dirty business in a city that couldnt care less about them. fishermanGTA
Maybe at the start of the game we can roam around freely, but toward the end, all our misdeed's are catching up to us, and we are being hunted? I mean if someone is wanted for "assault with a deadly weapon", the police are not going to ASK you to put your hands behind your head, were talking crash tackle and the lot. Emm Ell
I got a sense of the whole ''harsh-reality of the American Dream'' theme personally. But i agree the ''cat and mouse'' idea could very well be so. dragonrock
I think Niko will be the middleman between drug users and drug lords. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/309675-possible-insight-on-theme-of-game/#findComment-1057455879 Share on other sites
