Getting into other places in a car and passengers

I know this might have been discussed before, but I was sort of wanting to talk about getting into other places in a car.

 

Ok, I've heard that in this game you can get into the trunk of a car, whether just missions only or not. And from previous GTAs, you can ride in a car as a non driver in taxis or in a few special missions.

 

But, in this game I was wondering if you can ride in a vehicle as as a non driver more often, even in non gameplay. Like, you can hitch a ride with someone and choose to ride passenger, or in the back. Or when getting in a car you can get into the passengers' seat or in a back (no good reason to do that though). Maybe, if you can somehow get certain jobs, you can like sit in the passenger seat of a police car, back of an ambluance, maybe even the back an army truck.

 

With pasenger limits, I really hope in a regular sedan, you carry at least 4 people. In certain SUVs and minivans, I'm hoping to carry maybe around 6 passengers. I also wonder if in buses or other special large vehicles, you can carry the maximum amount of people that can be seated. I think the game systems can handle it.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe we drive less this time? I liked driving, of course, but it got annoying sometimes, and I couldn't be bothered.

 

 

P.S. I think you've mistaken the 'trunk' concept.

Well in Saints Row you could call a Wheel woman who would drive you around anywhere you wanted to go and you could do drive by's while sitting in the passenger seat, whenever a turn was coming up you could choose which way she drove you, so your sort of driving the car while riding as a passenger. It was a great concept i think.

I think they might implement something like the wheel woman with the display of a "skip trip" pad showing up. You can press up or down on the d-pad and one is to drive and the other is to ride shot gun.

But I hope that we can just ride shotgun in missions a bit more.

That mission in SA where we had to save Sweet from the Motel when the SWAT raided it was

a breath of fresh air! Getting to sit in the back shooting when someone else drove was a lot of fun.

I hope we can choose, I also hope in missions when a person owns a car, they drive it. I don't understand why you would let another person drive your car. For example, in the Chef mission at the start of VC, you meet Lance for the first time and he lets you drive his Infernus?

I think riding shotgun will become something reasonably frequent, given that you can now shoot ahead of you while in a car. Probably only during certain missions though, like shooting of the back of the bike in SA.
