Moonwalker1982
Last year in december i decided to buy a HDTV, going from a LCD projector (huge screen, but nowhere close to HD) to a 50 inch Samsung plasma. Well, i absolutely love it, i can't believe how much more these games come to 'life' in HD. I've started with all my older games and i love it. I absolutely can't wait to see GTA IV on it. Anyway, maybe it's cool to show what your gaming setup looks like. These pics are the most recent, but not showing much games, the older ones come after it. But my room looked a bit different at that time. But so you'll see a few games in action. older ones and let's end this with my awesome Bulldog, Yoshi. She's awesome

Picolini
Well, any gaming I do is on my computer, so I'll show that... I've got a Logitech Momo racing wheel for it (f*ck yes, it rocks. GT-R 2 is awesome with it) and there's a Logitech controller at the far left... Games looks great on the 22" tough. Couldn't imagine a 50" HD tv... My brother does have a 360, it's like 5 feet from the computer, but nothing special to show, it's hooked up to a flat screen CRT. And SIP doesn't come in here to often, as far as I notice at least, so he might not see this. It should probably be moved to the gaming chat anyways. Saget
You filthy rich people ¬¬ Mah computah: The screen is crap, but we get along. The TV to the left sucks, and to the right there's my sister's computer. NOW IF ONLY I COULD HOOK UP MY MACHINE TO THE LIVING ROOM TV: (page stretch?) THEN IT WOULD BE PERFECT. Too bad the cables can't reach it. As a matter of fact, what would be a good cable to connect my computer (2 DVI, 1 S-VIDEO) to the TV (1 VGA, x S-VIDEO, x red-white-yellow connectors)? |DeviantArt|Flickr|YouTube|#amf|
matthew1g
VGA would be better and regarding first sentence, we're not too far away in terms of the rig.. apart from pc specs that is

As a matter of fact, what would be a good cable to connect my computer (2 DVI, 1 S-VIDEO) to the TV (1 VGA, x S-VIDEO, x red-white-yellow connectors)? heh, why wont you buy longer cable then? they are sooo cheap ...and if you do, a wireless keyboard and mouse would be next to buy. Saget
VGA would be better and regarding first sentence, we're not too far away in terms of the rig.. apart from pc specs that is Ahahah xD You think I can find a 5m VGA cable somewhere? =P @[CTD]LaBan: If only the cable was the only thing that was stopping me... It's a major problem. There is only one free outlet near the TV, and it isn't *that* near. I'd have no table for my computer, unless I jacked the one my mom is using for her sewing machine. IF I ever manage to plug my computer to that TV, it's gonna be something totally temporary. And moving the TV is OUT OF QUESTION. So is wireless stuff, I'm happy with my wires. |DeviantArt|Flickr|YouTube|#amf|
Picolini
Lol, we're not rich You've got a pretty nice set up, I like the tower. Although the CRT is a bit old tech, at least it's flat screen, that helps. Which brings me to mattg's.. wtf man?? Quad core, 8800gt, big ass Clio case, and you're using an old bubble screen CRT I would have said screw the upgrade to the 8800GT and went with a flat panel LCD. It makes a load of a difference. And your sister's toys? Yeaaaaaah riiiiight

Just the way I wanted it to be x) This freaking screen is 4 years old, it was bought with my old computer. Dad says he's buying me a LCD screen as soon as some money kicks in, though. I'M ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR THAT! I asked for a cheap-but-good one. Actually there were two good ones. I posted a topic about them last year, since HE PROMISED HE'D GIVE ME THE SCREEN AS A CHRISTMAS GIFT ¬¬ |DeviantArt|Flickr|YouTube|#amf|
matthew1g
it's not bubble, flat screen monitor just like saget's. everytime I'm saving up for a TFT an unexpected expense comes up!! I have money for a 22"... but my cellphone just failed and I have to get a new one. last time I was saving, the f*cking motherboard from the other PC fries up! I'm cursed, and until someone buys me one, it will never change @ sag, that's nothing, mine is 7 years old, one of the first flatscreens. but it still runs great. this is how it looked with my other Q66: Edited January 26, 2008 by matthew1g
Picolini
Ahh, my bad. But still CRT's suck They're low contrast and have poor dull colors. LCD's are just sooooo more vibrant, I love them Good luck getting one guys, I'm sure you'll really enjoy them.
Saget
Lol @ is that a fan blowing on the open case? xD And I'd hate to keep my computer on any other room than my own. I love my privacy, even though I share the room with my sister. We have our own territories here, and no one is allowed to invade without permission. Like, for example, you don't see her stuff all over my computer. MY TERRITORY! I say you claim that wall as yours and take all her stuff out of there. @ Picolini: I HATE bright screens, but I LOVE vivid colors. I'd say my screen is good at that point, I like its colors. Only thing is, I think LCD screens are "sharper". Everytime I look at mine, things seem sliiiiightly out of focus, but it's enough to bother me. My notebook screen is great, I can sit in front of it for HOURS and not get headaches/red eyes. Slamman
I bought a buncha old PCs and revamped them, so the cases of all but one are stock essentially Even a few were bought with no brand names for $3 to $5 USD... They allow ATX mobos so I put some good board in 'em! I also had my CRT die so I no longer use a CRT monitor, Samsung and NEC LCDs for me!

SyphonPayne
There it is. See that piece of paper next to my Wii? That would be the instructions on how to return my piece of sh*t Xbox 360 back to M$ because it died. Well I sent the thing in probably 5 or 6 days ago . Damn you red ring of death! You can see the hard drive for the 360 sitting there all lonely. Oh, and my PS3 is on the other side of my gaming rig.

How do you manage to play at those resolutions on an 88GT? you turn down IQ or what? and why the 30" when the screen is infront of your face? It looks great... 1360x768 is fine for me. Especially when I can just jack up the AA sky high on all games except Crysis. The 32" screen is in front of my face so I can see it duh. Am I supposed to have the TV behind me or something? I don't sit that close to it (keyboard and mouse can move, you know.) Hell it's better than your stuffed animal collection .
