HOW GOD DAMN FCUKING ANNOYING IS BRINGING IN THAT GOD DAMN DESTROYER WITH TIE FIGHTERS POPPING UP EVERY 10 FCUKING SECONDS angry.gif

It makes it even more annoying when your force button doesn't even pick up the Tie fighter takes about 10 goes around for the Tie fighter so my guy force grabs it.

There's not enough time to bring it down a decent amount before Tie fighters show up.

Any tips that helped you?.

I havent played this game but you said exactly what my friend said he got pissed off as well. He said you have to take out the tie fighters then go back to pulling the star destroyer in

good luck

Best advice has got to be, destroy the TIE's as quickly as possible, you will have more chance of getting the thing down quicker, best way to do it is at the start, when they first come in there will be maybe 3 bunched together, jump, use lightning, boom, most of them gone.

It is a bitch to do, but have patience and it will happen....

The best technique for pulling it down is to completely ignore the on-screen commands and just pull it to the left until it's facing you.

When it's facing you, pull it up until Kota tells you to pull it down. After that just hold both sticks down.

When the Tie Fighters come just keep pulling until half your health is gone. Then just zap them with lightning as the pass.

Try and get them as fast as you can, since the Destroyer will slowly try to get back where it was.

It'll take about four attempts to fully bring it down.

My patience was running very, very short.

That's probably decent advice, the arrows swap around to much it is probably just best to do it yourself without looking at the bottom part of the screen.

4 attempts? sad.gif.

I have been using force grab to bring the Tie Fighters down put now you've mentioned it i'll use my level 3 force leccy.

Yeah, the arrow things are just wrong. Totally f*cked me up the first time because I kept lining it up with what it said on screen but nothing happened.

No wonder you can't do it you boob, its all about jumping just as they fly past and use lightning. You can take them all out within 2-3 flybys.

Whilst I'm loving the game since I bought it yesterday the DLC doesn’t fill me with too much excitement. Skins are all well and good but that's all they are, basically costumes because as you can see in the picture of Luke he is holding his saber as the apprentice would, call me picky if you want but if we are going to get extras it should be characters with their own move set and style.

Secondly this level in the Jedi temple is in the PS2 and PSP versions, yes it may be very basic in terms of graphics and surroundings but it sounds somewhat lazy that they now want to put it in the next-gen consoles.

It's f*cking daft, these skins/costumes and that extra level could all easily been in the full game either as secret extras once the game has been completed or from the very off.

But no they throw out a game and then charge the user for the content a couple of months down the line.

Bingo.

f*ck paying for that rubbish, its retarded. Instead of having to dish out extra content, make the game longer and better in the first place.

From what i've heard, the PS2 and PSP versions of this level are just for a bonus Challenge mode or something, where as the PS3/360 versions of the Jedi Temple actually adds to the story line.

I'm not to bothered about them adding this in and us having to pay for it, i'm a massive Star Wars fan, so i'm going to get the DLC regardless.

Don't choke an ewok - Force Punt one instead.

I see saintdave already beat me to it, but I saw the DLC pics on another site and was immediately bothered by luke holding his lightsabre in the Starkiller style.

It already annoys me slightly that if I use a cheat to change the character model they hold it the wrong way. If I'm going to go to the trouble and expense of getting DLC which only includes a few extra character skins then the fighting style and movement should also adapt to stay true to the character.

Starkiller has a very cool and distinctive way of holding his weapon behind him. In TFU you also play as Darth Vader and he walks at his own speed, has a different kind of jump, uses choke instead of lightning and hold his facing forwards. They should really make the new characters vary like this to make them worth getting. I love getting extra "clothing" in DLC, but only if it's free or part of a bigger package.

As for the second DLC pack. I'll probably get that, but I hope it's quite a long mission with varied scenery. I'd certainly download a pack if it contained a few new locations like Endor or Tatooine. I suppose I really want a GTA style free-roaming version of this, but I know they'd have to reduce it to one location only and that wouldn't really work.

I've actually really enjoyed playing this game. I replayed most missions several times on varying difficulties and have been left wanting more (in the good way).

The only thing that really frustrated me was Bull Rancor boss. It took me ages to get past that while getting dizzy jumping in circles while still trying to see where I was aiming. They really need a bigger arena for that kind of boss. It would all be going well and then that bitch would turn up and suddenly I've got to start all over again. Anyway, I was certainly happy when I finally got through that part.

I loved TFU and I'll probably play it again after writing this.

Nah it’s part of the story mode, one of the early missions. You even fight 2 sith (ghosts) whilst in the temple to test your skills before Vader shows up. As said though this should have been in the next-gen versions regardless.

I would swap this DLC for a proper MP mode. You can choose from a variety of characters to fight with on the Wii version both from the games story, both trilogies and expanded universe so something like this but with more depth and character choice on PS3 (and 360) would be much better, even more so if you could play online against friends.

Are you serious!?

I just fought it right there, that big bastard didn't even get me once!

Wait for it to charge, double jump to the side, run up behind it, lightning, slash, slash slash, run, rinse, repeat.

I am serious. I guess I just used the wrong strategy on that one. I think I found early on that standing still meant you had to worry about the mainboss turning up so I just kept moving to avoid her. Doing that combined with saber throws works, but it takes ages you can never really see the rancor that well.

Though by the end I was probably using something similar to what you said. I suppose I was hoping the old "lighning, slash, slash, slash, run" routine wouldn't be the way to beat all the big characters and I'd have to vary it a bit

Oh well, it certainly extended my playing time.

Little note to those who are still on the demo and haven't bothered getting the full game. There is a little trick to getting more stormtroopers and rebel fighters to spawn so that you can kill them over and over devil.gif

When you get to the last platform that leads to where the AT-ST is. Run to your right and down a long platform. Once you get to the end, do a big double jump and press L1/LB at the end of it. You should be able to make your way down to where the Tie Fighters were trying to blow you up before. You can now play from that bit again and all the stormtroopers and Rebel fighters will have respawned. Saves you the trouble of beating the AT-ST and going through the ending movie, menu and intro movie again smile.gif

Force Unleashed is a great game, the story is great but the ending.....it definitely isn't a happy one

I also hate those heavy imperial troopers (the ones with the big blue armor that fires those missiles that's almost impossible to dodge,I believe that their called "purge troopers" or something like that)

but most of the time, the game RockS!

but the targeting system doesn't

Purge Troopers are a breeze to defeat with full Lightning, and you can dodge the Torpedoes they fire, you just need to be quick and jump at the right moment.

I was annoyed at the ending, i finished the game with the Jedi Ending, i'm going through again and getting the Holocrons, so this time i hope to get the Sith ending.

I thought you had a PS3?

Get it for that, even if you only going to use the console for a little while to play that, it's worth it.

Keep dreaming, games like this simply don't work well on PC.

Judging from the story of this it seems quite decent, movie worthy infact. Who here would pay money to see a feature film adaption?

They would need to write some brand new stuff into the script for it to work, or just make the hack-and-slash bits you actually play through a little shorter.

It would be kind of cool to see a Film version, but i doubt it will happen.

Well of course, keyword in my post being adaption, they'd change bits to make it flow better.

Heck, if The Clone Wars got it's own film this sure as hell should.

I hope they do,but I doubt it.for me the game is just too....I dunno,console-ish to be released on the pc,its like porting God of war to the pc (it would be damn great, but the controls would obviously be crappy)

*sigh*

aw heck,a pc version would be great

Games like God of War and TFU dont have crappy controls, PC does. (for games like these and driving games) Dont blame it all on console. While I agree that shooters are much better on PC, console is better in other genres aswell.

Agreed, the only way that keyboards+mice are in any way supierior is when you are aiming. Not that aiming with a contoller is very hard anyway.

Controllers win on almost all fronts.

It's hard for us who don't have such a steady hand. I need to be really tranquil and stoned to aim precise. My thumbs just aren't stable.
