Jonny_Tightlips
So yeah, LucasArt's latest addition to the Star Wars saga is coming this Spring, so I decided, being the spirited SW Fan that I am, to make a thread to discuss is. Ngah! [GameSpot] Official Trailer/Story Zak. sh*ts pants in excitement ...besides that I ain't sayin nuthin.

WalkerBoh
Nice. First look it seems like my favorite combat mechanics from Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast on supercrack with a darkside viewpoint. Really its a new game, but I loved Jedi Knight 2 and was longing for something similar(besides jedi academy) . Yet another reason to get a new console. Blackadder.
This game certainly has potential, hopefully they don't screw it up (Like Episode III). Their damage model is pretty neat I have to say. Can't wait to throw a Stormtrooper into a piece of wood and have it splinter everywhere.
Iminicus
This game is gonna be the sex. It has to be one of my most anticipated games.
jebness
Been looking forward to it for ages, I still play Jedi Academy/Jedi Outcast on the old sh*tty q3 engine. Looks like its gonna be pretty fun on the Wii.
Seddo
Well that was a pretty good read and looking at the two screenshots the game looks stunning, wasn't really following the game but now it will be on my wishlist. You are Darth Vader's secret apprentice. Have fun with that. That sounds pretty cool .
KillerKabel
This spring meaning? Same as GTA IV? Or before? I might just get it, to pass the time till IV is out... Depends on when it is finally released... And is it just me, or does Lucas Arts hold all the cards? DMM and Euphoria is something that is gonna rock the gaming world... papanesta
I'd seen a concept art of the ship getting brought down, but that was... wow. Is this guy supposed to be like the most powerful Jedi/Sith or whatever?
Forty
The fantasies this game drums up in my mind give me such a stiff wood.

Jonny_Tightlips
The fantasies this game drums up in my mind give me such a stiff wood. *walk's slowly away* (first post from my new ps3) Too bad it wasn't worthwhile. Weird thing is, the video says "Spring 08", yet the GS article says Summer 08. ...besides that I ain't sayin nuthin.
Ottae
I think the release date is the 4th April, which is awesome. The game looks amazing, combining Euphoria, DMM and Havok.
Forty
Euphoria will revolutionize modern gaming when GTA IV and this game hit shelves.
Creed Bratton
I always knew that game is gonna be awesome. But why are they releasing it for all consoles, even PS2? Those versions cant possibly have Euphoria and DMM, right?
tuff_luv_capo
Any star wars game outside of Battlefront or KOTOR gets me skeptical. (See: Jedi Academy)
Forty
I always knew that game is gonna be awesome. But why are they releasing it for all consoles, even PS2? Those versions cant possibly have Euphoria and DMM, right? It won't. The PS2, DS, and PSP versions will be slightly less advanced but will contain the same core gameplay and features. They have worked out an alternative to the Euphoria engine that works on the less powerful systems.
kingvercetti
Saw the Havok/Euphoria/DMM video earlier and it looked absolutely amazing, so long as they don't massively cock anything up (I'm looking at you movie games) I'll definately be buying this. Creed Bratton
Is it coming on PC? If not I guess Ill have to settle with a last gen PS2 version Well, its better then nothing I guess. I love Star Wars games
Blackadder.
Is this guy supposed to be like the most powerful Jedi/Sith or whatever? The game's meant to reimagine the force in much more poweful ways, so I'm guessing the Protagonist won't be the only person to be able to do some of these tricks, although he probably will be at the end of the game. Mand'alor
Any star wars game outside of Battlefront or KOTOR gets me skeptical. (See: Jedi Academy) I'm also the same when it comes to Star Wars games. This looks like just another button basher like Episode III was to be honest, but I will keep an eye on it nonetheless. Daz
I checked out a video, as I noticed its using the same euphoria technology as GTAIV is using. It looked pretty nice. I really need to get a Star Wars game that is up to date and mostly action and such. I loved battlefront but that was prettymuch the only game I had that wasnt totally tied to the main storylines. I am not that mad on it, but I totally understand that universe, which I think is unique to have. A whole universe with billions of possibilities due to the different types of physics and characters Star Wars has created. It is way more familiar and exciting to see than some other world made up by someone else. It all fits together. I need a demo.
Jonny_Tightlips
I need a demo. Aye, though it seems these days that only really bad sports games are releasing demos. ...besides that I ain't sayin nuthin.
Damo.
Well, it's just a few weeks to release, so I felt this topic needed a bump. I can't wait for this game. The demo has been released on Xbox Live and PSN. Can someone tell us offline gamers if it's any good?
Blackadder.
It's great. Good Points -Intuitive system for picking stuff up with the force, you actually have almost full control over said object, before tossing them aside. -Euphoria is implemented nigh on perfectly, looks natural, not forced like GTA IV. You can also pick up enemies and watch them try to cling onto stuff to save themself. Highly amusing. -Amount of action on screen at once is fairly impressive. Bad Points -Not that many comboes (More in full game?). -Slightly repetitive. Judging from just the demo (And Pre-release material) I'd say this is worth at the bare minimum a rental if you're still on the rocks, but you probably wouldn't be disappointed if you bought it, I can't wait to get my grubby little mitts on it. If you have any other questions about stuff that can be answered through playing the demo, just ask.
papanesta
Personally, I thought the controls were sh*te. Not being able to move while lifting things with the force just feels weird. A lot of times using the right trigger just wouldn't pick anything up, even if you were surrounded by objects. Anyway, it was still quite fun, and later levels look better than the one in the demo, so I'll probably still get it.
Vanillainy
-Not that many comboes (More in full game?). Yeah, you unlock new moves and powers as you progress. I liked the demo, it wasn't mind blowing or anything, just good fun.
beavis
The Demo kicked ass. Although the only thing I will complain about was the fact that you can't move while using the force.
Seddo
Not being able to move while lifting things with the force just feels weird. Yeah hardly a powerful Sith Lord thingy when you can't even move whilst doing the force . A lot of times using the right trigger just wouldn't pick anything up, even if you were surrounded by objects. Yeah i was noticing that but then i also noticed on the left hand side of the screen where all those bars are, that, there needs to be some blue bar, if it's empty it, the apprentice won't pick nothing up. The game wasn't to bad, after missing the buzz off the KOTOR games i really have high hopes for this game to be just as good as them.
