Look at Vista for example. Its a mess the 360 is just a game machine that has as many problems as a windows computer. why dont they just stick to one thing and get it right. I'm glad to see the brains of 360 fans. Also that MS can still afford 5 different models after they had to pay to fix over 30% of their original consoles... at least now it's only +10% of the ones they make. And to DJLance2006 in your post above this: Sony only as the 40GB now. They're killing out the 80GB like they did the 20GB and the 60GB. I guess now they're just going to let the consumers buy their own HDD's to make the size bigger if they want. No need to make 5 different consoles when you can make one and let the user easily change the size of the space. Oh, and also about Vista... they have a new OS coming out next year so I guess we don't have to worry about Vista anymore... just whatever product they are making while trying to ripoff Leopard. Look none of you created the console you bought, so even though you might think your console kicks ass, you still didn't make it and have nothing to be proud of. And besides they both suck. Xbox is a dumb noise machine, that keeps breaking. And the PS3 is an overprised piece of junk. Not that it needs it like, still things like the made up Bigfoot dude. They could maybe add something stupid like this, or not. I would rather them keep it real......but the idea of trying to find something as strange , would be real good. If you where one of the people who got excited when you heard that there may be such a thing as Bigfoot in GTA or leather face as they called it. Then i am sure this would make a big impact. Because only the 360 has Achievements at this point in time. Put this together with the title of the topic: Xbox 360 achievements And you get why this thread is solely based on the 360. I heard that Sony were considering having a similar thing in their games to the Xbox Achievements, so I suppose that could be in place by the time GTA IV is released, but any in game unlockables will be the same for both versions... and PC if that ever comes. Edit: It's just bragging rights really, I'm not bothered about getting the full 1000G in games I play but some are. The 125G and 50G that people are talking about is Gamerscore.... On the xbox360 when you unlock an achievement you get points for doing that certain thing and all your points add up to give you a total gamerscore... the score does nothing but people then can brag because they have completed something or got a really high score. Ps3 are thinking of bringing in a "trophy cabinet" which you have in your virtual home which when you have people round on the ps3 system (virtually I mean not your real friends) they can walk around your "House" and see all the game you have played and done things on to unlock the trophys... BUT that isn't expected to be released till the spring this year. so GTA IV might have it in and if its not been released by the time GTA comes out, GTA might have it in there ready to be unlocked. On topic I don't care what the achievements are like as long as they are fun to get and don't have any Multi-player ones because even tho I have Xbox live I think its unfair on the people who don't have it...plus I don't wanna be going online and have my Online game ruined by people on there just trying to get the achievements. I read somewhere the absolute max is 99 (ala Orange Box) but I don't think any developer can be bothered to think up that many achievements. Microsoft let the game developers decide how they want to distribute points. I have a few. This topic is obviously about the xbox 360......Achievements=Xbox360. No use in coming to a topic about the 360 version, and talking about how crappy the system is and all that bull. When the PS3 Home is up and running you guys can make a topic about that. Until then either discuss some good 360 achievements here or go away.
