Zombified Jake Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 In case you missed it, Microsoft revealed at X06 that Xbox 360 owners will get "exclusive access to two downloadable, epic episodes of GTA IV via Xbox Live, each with hours of entirely new gameplay and available only on Xbox 360 just months after the release of the title". We're told to expect much the same deal on PS3, except unique to the platform. Interestingly, the downloadable content, our source maintains, will take the form of brand new areas which will link into the main GTAIV game world. PS3 gets maps... Without feeding into your fanboy idiocies, Microsoft bragged because they know they aren't getting maps. Yeah, most likely. PERIOD. derty: The rumor buzzin' around, according to a Rockstar North insider, is that the developers are also working on a downloadable content for Sony's PlayStation 3 platform. The rumor also says that the downloadable content for Xbox Live is pretty much the same for the PlayStation 3. Seriously, you PS3 people are getting extremely desperate already. It is NOT a rumour, it WAS in an OFFICIAL preview stated BY A ROCKSTAR REP these EXACT words, or at least VERY near "Think of the world as a large island - the new downloadable areas will be like smaller islands linking into it," It was during an OFFICIAL preview leading up to the demos of the game. It was one of the MAIN sites. I WILL find it, it's driving me crazy now. LOOK at the damn date of the comment I quoted. That was WAYbefore eurogamer's bullsh*t. This is legit, I will prove it. I'm serious, there were press releases leading up to the demos, and the ONE that has some OTHER guy from rockstar showing or talking has it, I didn't misread, and I know anyway... The games are going to be the same (mostly) on both consoles. So all you fanboys in the house need to SHUT UP and accept the fact that it is a RUMOR that the PS3 is getting DLC and that it's a RUMOR that either one of the console's versions will be superior to the other console's.
