Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 Ok, so by now everyone is well aware that pedestrians will be alive in IV like never before in a GTA. They smoke, sit on stoops, chat on cellphones, live life. Well as impressive as that and the other previously mentioned stuff sounded when we originally heard it, the GamePlayer Preview I read revealed even more amazing stuff. Not sure if you've all seen this, but when I read this last night at around midnight, I was really wowed. During a short trip across town we noticed two cool examples of the Liberty City world living its life. At one point a disappointed ped was seen with bonnet up peering helplessly into his car’s innards, blocking traffic along a street. At another point, a cop was seen with gun drawn on driver who leant with hands up against his pulled over car. Bad luck mate. .....Whoa. A ped was actually seen blocking traffic with his car because it had died on him and he lifted the hood to investigate. That's amazing. But it gets better...A ped was seen pulled over by a cop car, where he had a gun drawn on him by the officer, and actually leaned up against his car with his hands in the air. My God, it seems some of the crazy stuff people suggested in the past might actually become reality. If we'll be seeing Peds interacting with the city like this, what else can we expect? Any ideas, considering we now know IV will have some pretty mind-blowing stuff unlike anything we've ever seen in a video-game before? Let's keep it reasonable. We've seen peds hold hands in previous GTAs, you think we'll be able to see peds on dates? Holding hands, laughing, etc. Really immersive stuff. Just a mass of peds, with shopping bags and cell phones. Will peds get mad at each other? I wonder? I'd love to see peds argue and then marvel at their facial expressions and body language. GTAfan89 Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 Since the new ped A.I seems very intelligent, do you think we will see peds locking their car from thieves? (or even us?) If so, there will be alotr of locked cars. In nicer area's, I'm sure cars will be unlocked because peds will feel more safe in that area. (just as in real life.) Well atleast there locked, it will make it risky to steal cars. (hence the broken windows and cops get sispicous.) For instance, if you want to play like a good citizen, you cant break a window and steal a car. You have to buy one or steal a car thats unlocked. You wont find many unlocked. Plus, theres alot of traffic in the city. Wont be as easy in cars now, more realistic. You will have to use the sidewalk and hitting alot of peds will slow you down or effect your car to breakdown.
