gohan__14
Rumour is circulating that Rockstar will release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV in October this year. Advertisement: According to reports, the rumour has surfaced in the world of French gaming press, which cites retail as a source for the date. Previous games in the series - i.e. GTA III onwards - have taken between six to eight months to release on PC after debuting on console. As such, and considering GTA IV is out on PS3 and Xbox 360 in April, an October release for the PC version would just about be sticking with tradition. And don't forget that GTA IV on console was originally supposed to launch in October '07, so assuming that Rockstar has been working on the PC version quietly in the background - which surely it has - an October '08 release is actually plausible. However, we'll tuck this one back in the rumour drawer for now. No light was shed on all this when we contacted Rockstar's UK arm earlier. Meanwhile, we recently got a new look at GTA IV on console, and you can read our report right here. [source: Blue's News] CVG What do you think of this? I don't realy want to beleve this . steve-m
It's just speculation, especially with a retailer as source. However, since the game was scheduled for release in October '07 originally, and the PC ports of previous versions of GTA were released in May or June, one could assume they planned a PC release for May this year and might actually be almost done with it, at least in time for an October release. Would be great if it came out this year as well, and not May/June 2009.

Ithanium
I bought a 360 just for GTA IV. I guess that's what MS ans RS wanted. Now that would be a tad off, to anounce a PC version when, and I believe it is quite a portion of, gamers jumped on the console train.

JonnyVercetti
No GTA on PC is like saying there's no GTA! Accutally, at my best mates house he has SA for PS2. I find it harder to control on a console, on PC i can control it really easy. Or i might just be only used to PC ...I have VC on PS2 somewhere in my stacks of game box's in my cupboard...i'll find it some day.

OysterBarron
ok just a question but why does it take so long to port to PC when the game is actually made using a PC in the first place! Also i understand that with the GTASA pc users like myself got GTASA on pc to eperience higher resolutions of graphics and better car models, But in this era of consoles cabable of higher resolutions and good car models there really isnt much of a difference between PC and consoles now to really warrant it? Mike0
GTA is a big enough game that they should make a PC version. They havent really made alot of PC versions of anything, except GTA (but they didnt do LCS and VCS for PC, only for PSP then PS2).
