[WIP] '69 Camaro Pro Street

Hi! I' using Turpuli's Yenko Camaro to make a Pro Street..

 

Things I've done: New wheels (Weld Pro Star) and tires, supecharged engine and rollcage.

 

Things left: New seats, a bit more on the chassis and finish the engine.

Rollcage looks good. However the wheels need to be more detailed (too square considering how detailed the body curves are) and the blower could use some more detailing as well. Look up pictures of blown V8s for reference.

 

As this is still a WIP in it's early stage, I'm sure you'll be able to sort these minor things out.

The wheels are more detailed than it looks, it's just that I'm not an expert on normals sigh.gif

 

With flat shading you can see the detail:

I'd make em have more than 14 sides. The wheels are nice, but look to low poly when compared to the model itself. I would use at least 20 sided wheels, if not 30 sided. With the main model having 30-50k polys, it makes no sense to try and save polys on wheels. Nice work so far. The bug catcher looks spot on with one I used to have.

That's exactly what I was referring to, but I couldn't find the words. Should have paid more attention in school. Perhaps then I would have been good at expressing myself in english.

 

But yeah, doubling up the amount of sides should do the trick quite nicely.

I made a quick model in like... 5-10 minutes. if you want it just tell me. I made it in google sketchup. but I dont know how to export it to 3DS max or whatever you use, so you will have to do that yourself. I might fix the roundings at the outer ends of the spokes, cuz I hasnt made them yet xD

emm... whats the problem? use function "move"

the thing is this: in uv-mapper the tire side doesn't show up but only a rectangular object. I think I've used the correct way of selecting faces..
