SCLASS
Has anyone noticed how in SA, the faster you travel, the faster other traffic does too in relation to yourself. This ws not the case in VC or GTA3, so whats going on ? Again like my other post about city lights, I hope that this is a performance issue, though how speeding up other traffic helps is anyones guess. Im not so pleased about motion blur, again a flimsy attempt at covering up a performance issue. To me in SA, blur always affecting my driving ability, it should be something we can switch off. I am not having a go at the series, these are simply two of my gripes...
d00d
I didn't notice that other cars changed speed. I only noticed the jump into SA where on the freeways cars went insanely fast (a much needed update to GTA). But I agree - for PC gamers motion blur just gave us more hardware strain and performance issues. Sure, CamHack could remove it but why should we need 3rd party apps to play a game more efficiently? SCLASS
^^^^ exactly, it was only the highway, what really pi ssed me off about SA was how in the 3rd person view behind the car you could get up to quite a good speed, but in 1st person view it was like your speed was limited ??? Again performance probably...
grekster
I very much doubt any of these issues are related to the performance of the game as your posts seem to imply. Certainly rendering a motion blur effect is more intensive then straight rendering of the scene and so would amplify framerate problems, not hide them. Anyway i like motion blur when your going fast, as long as its not too extreme, a very subtle blur can do wonders for your sense of speed.
