Starion
Well, I do have a story of my own which I haven't told. I lined up for the Halo 3 midnight launch, and I bought a legendary edition. Took it home, and wanted to play it for a bit before I went to bed. The disk didn't work. The bonus disk did, but the Halo game disk didn't play at all. Apparently I had the only broken legenday bought that day. I was gutted. They replaced it though the next day. So I do know how it feels, just that wouldn't be as bad as the whole CONSOLE going down. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.
ACEGAMEFORUMS
Well, I always believed Sony was better and GTA was only made for Sony. I do not have a PS3, I have a 360 and I'm not siding with it just because I have one but just because PS3s aren't expected to break here, they do have the episodic content, so either way both next gen console owners got huge cons. Infact, if you think about it 360 has worse! None of my friend's 360s lasted more then a year, and I've had mine for over a year, I HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN THE RING OF DEATH but all I did was turn it off and on again and clean it, worked fine. But if the ring of death came and shut down my console permantely right as I get my Special Edition copy, I will flip out into such a rage, nothing can go worse then that when it comes to consoles! Once again we have to spend a bit of time re-educating the masses. GTA was NOT EVER made for Sony. It is a PC franchise that Sony paid a truck load of money for. I know it may not sit pretty with your "revised" history but like it or not GTA is a PC game. Personally both consoles have major issues which is part of the reason I won't touch either of them with a ten foot barge pole. The 360 failure rate is totally gross and completely indefensible. Then again the blu-ray lenses in the PS3's are giving the RROD a good run for their money. However I personally do not care, just don't spout crap like "duh GTA was made only for Sony" because history quite rightly proves you very very wrong. Maybe it did start for the PC, originally, but the first revolution from arcade to 3-D was on the PlayStation 2, and from there the PC franchise continued but were released later. From there, all GTA games were released for PS2 first and then the PC months after (and Xbox). Correct me if I'm wrong.
chris cambo
Lol mine just broke from that last week. Oh well the free repair service only takes about 2 weeks. They said two weeks to me aswell, 4 weeks later and BAM no xbox. Then i got it back again and after 7 days with a mere two hours playing it broke again. If this happened to me and my console went 3 red lights on my ass, i would stand up walk into my brothers room and take his elite 360 and play it on there. Im lucky to have 2 xbox`s in my house, and mines currently broken

andylovesGTA
I have a modded xbox and I play burned games all the time with no glitches at all, but I'm quite concerned about the overheating because I will play it 12 hours straight.

However it had absolutely nothing to do with the the PS2 being the better system or GTA was made for only Sony. It had everything to do with the fact Rockstar got paid a lorry load of cash by Sony for timed exclusivity of the GTA franchise. Why do you think Sony did that, because they hoped by shutting off a game that was incredibly popular on the PC they could force PC users to buy their crappy console. I am glad to say that anyone with half a brain waited and were rewarded with a GTA 3 that had higher resolutions, better textures and it was the first system that allowed custom music in GTA 3 (btw we were playing GTA 3D in High Definition all them years ago). Back on topic as I have said I don't think people should be laughing over the RROD, from what I have read the blu-ray diode in the PS3's isn't making a name for itself in terms of reliability. Gangster07
I get the ring of death everyday on my 360 but all I have to do is turn it on and off again about 2 or 3 times and it works perfectly.
XDamage
Ah, I can't wait! My PS3 is more than up to the challenge. The only time it has ever crashed during a game was when Warhawk was at it's most unstable right after it's release in early fall 2007, but then ofcourse it was just a matter of restarting the console, instead of sending it for service. I hope none of you 360 fans have to experience that when you have just bought the game, but if you want to be sure, get a PS3!
