I do not have a PS3, I have a 360 and I'm not siding with it just because I have one but just because PS3s aren't expected to break here, they do have the episodic content, so either way both next gen console owners got huge cons. Infact, if you think about it 360 has worse! None of my friend's 360s lasted more then a year, and I've had mine for over a year, I HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN THE RING OF DEATH but all I did was turn it off and on again and clean it, worked fine. But if the ring of death came and shut down my console permantely right as I get my Special Edition copy, I will flip out into such a rage, nothing can go worse then that when it comes to consoles! Once again we have to spend a bit of time re-educating the masses. GTA was NOT EVER made for Sony. It is a PC franchise that Sony paid a truck load of money for. I know it may not sit pretty with your "revised" history but like it or not GTA is a PC game. Personally both consoles have major issues which is part of the reason I won't touch either of them with a ten foot barge pole. The 360 failure rate is totally gross and completely indefensible. Then again the blu-ray lenses in the PS3's are giving the RROD a good run for their money. However I personally do not care, just don't spout crap like "duh GTA was made only for Sony" because history quite rightly proves you very very wrong. But got bored of waiting for the PS3 so i bought a 360 when they came out and ive never had one problem with it . I Also bought a PS3 when it came out and about 2 days later took it back just didnt like it compared to the 360 which i think has a great Social network. Like when you play team games you get alot more teamwork on 360 than PS3. So even if RROD happens to me which i doubt. I have a Warranty with it from my shop aswell meaning i can get a new one anyways just by going down. Happend with my controller Just straight swapped it. eagle016 Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 hopefully that sh*t doesnt happen to me, i just brought mine on xmas. it happended to the first 100 or so xboxs that first came out. you bought urs during christmas so they probally fixed it by then It had a +30% failure rate until sometime last year and now it still has a +10% failure rate. It was more than just the first set of 360's that came out... especially seeing as how it's still happening. It's been out for how long now and it's over the average new electronic failure rate. The average failure of an electronic device is around 5%. The failure rate of the PS3? <1%. 360? Roughly 10%. The Wii? Very low. One of the major reasons I don't like the 360... because MS built it crappy. I know that because I have a friend that had his 360 RROD him not too long ago and many friends who have had it RROD them many times... two had their 360 RROD as soon as they got it back from MS and had to send it back... again. But away from that now... IF I had a 360 and it RROD'd me right when I started up GTA:IV... I'd run out and pick up another 360. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This topic is about what you would do if your 360 breaks upon GTAIV's release. Not what company you like to bumrape. Ontopic though, I would just replace it with another one. I've had my 360 over a year now, and it has had no problems at all, not even one. And yes, I do have a ps3 as well, but at the moment all I play on that is the Gran Turismo 5: Prologue demo. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.
