Effy in Chains
My Xbox 360 broke once before, at the start of the school holiday August 2007 and it took them 3 weeks to fix it! (Half of my Summer holiday!) I swear if it breaks on the day GTA:IV is released I'm going to buy a PS3!
Civkiller
i've had my 360 for about 3 years and i never had the ring of death but i had 3 red lights due to a power outage in the area...i'm just gonna not play it on a regular basis just to stretch out it's life time...lol
hollabackds
I was a 360 fan but my 360 broke 2 times. That made me buy a PS3 and be a PS3 fan. I do like some 360 games but screw that piece of junk haha, thats funny cuz that happen to both my cuzins, and they converted and couldn't be happier, at lease now since the ps3 games are exceeding the quality of the 360's...i've always been a ps3 fan tho, and never will that change... Gog
That problem started because of hardware failure when they realesed the xbox 360. Nowadays it doesnt happen anymore because all you have to do is call microsoft and fix it up. What do you mean, it doesn't happen anymore? It still happens. However, Microsoft will replace the Xbox. But it does happen still. Just ask my brother, who's Xbox gave him 3 nice red rings last week.

Azil2fu
30% of the xbox 360 go to the SAV. So it's not the first 200 lol but something like 4 000 000.

Nowadays it doesnt happen anymore because all you have to do is call microsoft and fix it up. Yeah but it's a waste of time. I would rather be playing my game. [GTA IV] Ya but Id rather have good games to play like Halo 3 and Mass Effect to hold me over until GTAIV. Yeah same here, I'm playing Uncharted and Rachet and Clank. BTW I'm typing this from my PS3. OWNED. f*cking ownage. I'm playing Uncharted and Resistance at the moment. Oh, I'm typing this from my PS3 too. OWNED. FTW? thanks to the PS3 it set GTA 4 push back till april 2008. gratz. Are you an idiot? The PS3 isn't the one reason it was delayed. And be f*cking happy it was delayed because it allowed R* to make awesome improvements to the game. All those games except Uncharted kinda blow the dick.

Nineteen71
Xbox fans make me laugh.. they defend their console like it was their child yet half the time they're not even playing it. They're either waiting for a replacement from Microsoft, waiting to get theirs fixed or they're not playing it "as much to preserve the lifetime" of the console. And even if there's none of the above going on, they're always thinking about a possible break down in the back of their minds. That's as retarded as buying a car that you know has a 30-40% chance to break down on you for good. Microsoft did make a good move in releasing their console long before the ps3, but they released a sh*t console and should've waited for a better quality product to release to their customers. And the notoriety they gained for having a sh*t console will prevent me from ever investing a generous sum of money on their product. That plus the games don't appeal to me, at all. Most will not admit that they were tricked into buying the 360, but rather they defend their box of headaches and pains to death, just for the fact that they will not admit they were wrong in buying one. Cam
I've actually had the Red Ring of Death come up about 5 times before, however a simple restart of the Xbox fixes it. Hopefully I don't get it consistently when I get GTAIV though.

evilrex
i have a PS3 and a 360 so i consider myself neutral in the console wars.the 360 had the red ring of death issue because of the x clamp that held on the heat sink. it had a design flaw in it that applies to much pressure on the motherboard causing the solders to detach, leaving no path for the data to reach the video processor. because of this microsoft has come out with a revised version of the 360 code name "falcon". any 360 made after august 24, 2007 is a falcon 360. the falcons have a smaller CPU that is more energy efficient and a new heatsink that does not use the x clamp design. the Red Ring Of Death will not occur in consoles that are made after august 24. if on the rarest occasion that you leave your xbox on for 2 weeks straight and somehow find a way to make it overheat microsoft will replace your system free of charge. Are you kidding? I bought my 360 on the 13th. If only I got it 11 days later...

GTA_Godfather
Xbox 360 = EXCLUSIVE EPISODIC CONTENT!!! I can almost hear the PS3 fanboys crying now. ....crying in a puddle of their own tears when it's released! If you really are a GTA fan, I do not know how you KNOWINGLY forgo this! You KNOW it's going to be good (Microsoft is paying R* $50,000,000 for EXCLUSIVE rights to it! Yikes!) and you know you will want it when it comes out! Sad, but true! Nabbesnabb
I've had my 360 since 10th September. Never had any big problems with it, but sometimes I have to start it up twice before it connects to the TV so I get a picture. Don't know if it is the TV or 360 which is doing it. The TV is kinda old so. Also, the power went once, because my old powercable (if that's the right word?) was pretty rusty and almost caught on fire. Might have something to do with it. ^^ Other than that, it's working fine and still going strong. Edit: I'm in no way interested in the console wars. It's just sad... very sad.
