Ak4tsevEn
OMG! If this happens to me i will cry for a few minutes, bash in Microsofts phone number..abuse that little bitch on the recieving end, email Microsft about 100 times, cry for another few minutes lol....then go out and buy an XBOX Elite cuz i couldn't stand having GTA IV and not being able to play it. What would you do if this ever happens to any of you? (god forbid) Discuss... Edit: I'm sorry guys, i know this is a pretty crude thought but it could happen. But first I would yell and throw things.

Greatest Thing Alive
That problem started because of hardware failure when they realesed the xbox 360. Nowadays it doesnt happen anymore because all you have to do is call microsoft and fix it up.

Yes but us ps3 users like to constantly point out the fact Microsoft put out a gaming console out onto the market with a 30% failure rate. if condoms were like that, there would be a lot more people inb this world. Carbine23
I made this topic back in June or July and it got locked, just like this one will. Most 360 owners, including me have experienced this fatal error called the "Red Ring of Death." It's like a 1/20,000 that your 360 will get the Red Ring of Death on the day you get GTA4. When i got the red ring of death back in August i was actually happy, because i knew that GTA4 was coming soon, so that way my console didn't fail on me after i got it. Unfortunatelly after the experience i learned about GTA4's delay. Lets just hope it doesn't fail on me again.

roofy85
i have a PS3 and a 360 so i consider myself neutral in the console wars. the 360 had the red ring of death issue because of the x clamp that held on the heat sink. it had a design flaw in it that applies to much pressure on the motherboard causing the solders to detach, leaving no path for the data to reach the video processor. because of this microsoft has come out with a revised version of the 360 code name "falcon". any 360 made after august 24, 2007 is a falcon 360. the falcons have a smaller CPU that is more energy efficient and a new heatsink that does not use the x clamp design. the Red Ring Of Death will not occur in consoles that are made after august 24. if on the rarest occasion that you leave your xbox on for 2 weeks straight and somehow find a way to make it overheat microsoft will replace your system free of charge.
