Forty
Try Prague. I'd be willing to bet if nobody is going to Amsterdam, they're not going to make it to Prague. That's even further from the UK.
EmSixTeen
Scott, I dunno, Glasgow seems like a good'un.. I know the whole 'holiday' aspect of it would be gone for ye though. I'll also happily organise with Gem and whoever once more. Also, would it be rude if we had to 'approve' who were coming, as a group if you know what I mean? swolo yaggins
I'll be really f*cking honest. I don't give a f*ck where the meet is as long as it is either the last week of June or the first week of July, as those are my vacation dates. Location doesn't matter as I can score a cheap flight out of Barna and charge the vacation all the way. SET THE TABLE! The advantage is you can rebuild them whenever you feel like it. We also have a lot of bacon and pastries. Oh and controversial cartoons of course. Mega
I wouldn't mind London.... . I think that London gives opportunities to all the UKers to move their asses there for cheap. At the time of the meet i might be living there too. There are many cheeeeap flights from other countries too (Prague, Paris, Geneva, Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam, Prague)... so logistic-ally speaking it's a good choice. the thing, more older we get, more ablilites we have to travel > the 2009 meet might be set in another capital, like Amsterdam (why not Prague after all) and so on... Signature soon.
papanesta
Mike, I though you weren't coming!? Phew, glad you are. @pizza guy, having not been on any of the meets, I don't think you'd understand. The way we stay, if somebody turned out to be a wanker... or even worse, it doesn't bear thinking about. Fuuuck that, in other words. Why ruin the trip because some total tw*t is being an arse? And there's been no favouritism yet, you can complain if and when there is.

stretch.
I'm in as long as someone pays my f*cking congestion charge! Someone cloned my licence plate and drove around in london, I got sent a nice photo and a bill for liek £200, got cleaned up once I pointed out it was registered to a 2001 fiesta not a 97 Renault Megane! Anyways... down for anywhere but my top three would be 1. Blackpool (For old times sake) 2. Glasgow/Edinburgh/Scotland 3. London. 4. Anywhere else. EmSixTeen
Also, would it be rude if we had to 'approve' who were coming, as a group if you know what I mean? Yes it would be rude, it destroys the whole idea of seeing who actually wants to go, instead of you picking who you want, favouritism gets you nowhere in life. Well, saying as this meet originated from a couple of members just wanting to meet up and us subsequently making something of it, unlucky. With this more than likely taking place on the mainland UK, there's a much higher chance that some random arse might want to show up.. It's just to make sure there's no dickheads. So what, main options thusfar are: London Glasgow Edinburgh Preferences? PS: pizza guy, don't ever f*cking try to be a smart-arse with a line like "favouritism gets you nowhere in life" to me again. Bendy
ive never been to scotland, maybe pap or lyle or jayc could tell me a bit about it? would glasgow be a good place to go? i had a quick look at accomodation for glasgow yesterday but would deffo need some help with that as i have no idea about the layout of glasgow etc
Forty
Glasgow is just a crumbling fort on a hill with a bunch of skirt-wearing gingers playing capture the flag. But seriously, I don't care where.
Goodfella.
Edinburgh is a f*cking lovely place. If I had to pick out of those three, it'd be there. I wouldn't wanna tresspass on Lyle's turf, but I think he might be in India this summer. I wouldn't mind London.... . I think that London gives opportunities to all the UKers to move their asses there for cheap. At the time of the meet i might be living there too. London makes alot of sense for the reasons above. As far as walking the streets at night goes though, I don't like London at all... but whatever, you guys decide where it's gonna be. I'm in anyway. I think by the end of the week we should have a date set in stone. edit Regarding wankers. We've been lucky the past three years, I don't think anyone would come all the way with the intention of being a prick. Even if they were... *slap*. Edited January 28, 2008 by Goodfella. Bendy
i dont really like the idea of london, its expensive and makes me feel unsafe. and jumping on and off tubes all day would be boring. we all know this is only an excuss for a massive piss up. Edinburgh sounds good
EmSixTeen
My best mate lives in Edinburgh, and whilst it's a great place, he (and all my other mates over there) prefer Glasgow.. Especially for the night life. London is soso to me, due to the same reasons as Dan and Gemma have said, but if it's that much more convenient and preferred by others coming from afar then it is definitely viable. brb

Goodfella.
I don't think it's all so safe in Glasgow at night either tbh, if Widow's insane ramblings are anything to go by. I'm in London pretty much all the time, so I don't know why this sort of thing would bother me. I guess it's different when you're with a bunch of people.
