upthespurs
It seems to me that alot of people on here are expecting far too much from GTA 4. I know it has been covered before in different posts on various threads, but I thought we could have an independent thread to get to the bottom of it. GTA has NEVER been a realistic game. For example, just because it is played out in a (semi) realistic setting, why do people believe it is such a bad thing for Niko to carry more weapons than would be viable in the real world? In the real world do people shoot RPG's at helicopters in the middle of Manhatton? I think in the past R* have always got the balance between fun, laughter and realism just about right. Often here people are told to go and play The Sims if they want to replicate real life and I tend to agree. We all want a more immersive, enjoyable and playable experience but how much realism before you spoil the essence of GTA games? If you agree with me, do you think R* will get it right this time around? Are you as worried as I am about the recent news that things like maintaining friendships and playing darts will have a big impact on the way the game plays out? Don't get me wrong, I don't just want to play the game to blow things up, but I don't want to have to brush my f***ing teeth every morning either...
