Uno Carb
Do not move to Gaming Chat! It's safe to assume that nobody on these forums watches Fox TV simply because it's full of a bunch of right-winged, uninformed conservative asswipes who know next to nothing about what they're talking about, however, this is really just one for the books. Fox's stupidity has hit an all-time low. In this video, Geoff Keighley and an ignorant round-table panel discuss the "full graphic nudity" in Mass Effect. Geoff, as intelligent as he is put up a good fight with what little he had to work with. I posted this because I saw it over at Destructoid and Geoff Keighley is one of the most respected journalists in the industry and for him to just be completely shunned and pushed aside while these ignorant f*cknuts ramble senselessly. Unfortunately, this concerns the gaming industry, the players and everybody involved as a whole. Sure, it's Fox so it should ultimately be dismissed, but we seem to be regressing. Or at least, in the news media's eye. Get pissed off, laugh, shun, do whatever, but just watch the video.
Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus
First comment! I just wanna say, for the record, that I am probably more cultured than that scoffing, I'm-too-good-to-play-video-games bitch. It's funny how Fox News will allow someone to debate something that they haven't even experienced. That'd be like if I hypothesized that the 'Rosebud' sled in Citizen Cane was a reference to the bible, if I had never read the bible or watched Citizen Cane. It's f*cking preposterous! Chickstick
"Luke Skywalker meets Debbie Does Dallas"? What? The part which annoyed me the most was the part halfway through when the "expert" said something along the lines of "adolescent males cannot tell the difference between violence in video games and violence in real life". What a moronic thing to say. if you can't tell the difference between real and simulated violence, you shouldn't be let out in public.

What a moronic thing to say. if you can't tell the difference between real and simulated violence, you shouldn't be let out in public. This is why I don't watch T.V. It's funny how people do that. Even if a legitimate study did find that playing violent video games seems to desensitize adolescents to actual violence, that still doesn't prove that the video game was the cause. There could be many other factors at play. Also, why would seeing sex be bad. Is it bad to have sex? I can understand why violence is wrong, but what's wrong with consensual sex? The hypocritical stand they're taking against sex is probably causing all sorts of psychological problems for the generation of kids that are growing up right now. Otter
"What happened to Atari, and Pinball, and PacMan?" Face it, you uninformed swine, you are old. Your ideals are old, your point of view is old, and you still, somehow, get paid to slander sh*t you don't understand on television. Guess why? It's because of your barely concealed sexuality, not your brains. You're the Fox News equivalent of the "Se'Xbox," honey. You want to strike a blow against the objectification of women? Go to f*cking school. The days of "playboy" still exist. Kids still look at porn, and it's more accessible than ever - while the Mass Effect web page may ask for your age before letting you in, most, if not all, porn sites offer up the goods without ever prompting you. When you can so smugly dictate that the ESRB needs to have their heads' checked in one breath, then admit your ignorance about today's entertainment software and interactive fiction in another, you've lost all credibility. I think her f*cking head would explode if someone gave her a copy of Artificial Girl 3.

Fox's stupidity has hit an all-time low. Fox's stupidity will never reach a rock bottom.....and neither will anyone else's until everything is decided for you.....and it won't stop there either just more excuses to get by with more abuses. Yet, blaming conservatives for the current situation is pretty lame considering the liberal attitudes fuel the ban and attack on video games as much as anything else. There is not a liberal vs. conservative leg to stand on with this particular issue. Personally, I subscribe to neither of these two approaches as the dualism seems to further each agenda with cooperative results to the point of being a mockery to the most remotely intelligent person. In short, both sides are so far into bed together they have children, grandchildren and great grand children and anyone who falls for the spouting of either side is in for a long ride on the illusion to delusion coaster. I hate to have to quote Jello Biafra yet," What one is on the outside the other is on the inside," seems very accurate if you follow the trail for very long and pay attention. Therefore it becomes relative that both of them are They and the rest of us are Us and the sooner the line is drawn and new lines are drawn to stand behind the better. HolyGrenadeFrenzy
Does anyone realize the eventual goal of both current major political parties fanning the liberal conservative banners in the USA at this time? Mark
Jesus H f*cking Christ. I'm glad for my own sanity I don't live in the US. I mean this from the fact I'd need to go out and shoot every soccer mom I ever found, stating that ignorance and stupidity of them was a decent enough reason to put a bullet through their retarded minds. Sorry, but complaining about needing to submit your age? Hell, even youtube does that. Then again, I can go onto google, pop in "sex" into imagesearch and not once be asked for my age before images of naked ladies appear infront of me. The comment that adolescent boys cannot tell the difference between a game and real life? Do they really think that the average teenage kid is even more retarded than they are? To be fair, if a kid cannot tell the difference between life and a game then they need to be locked up for their own protection. And that's not the videogames fault. It's the kids mentality. What's different between seeing softcore in a videogame and softcore in a movie? Ok yes one is made out of polygons and textures, the other is filmed (usually) but end of the day, what's different? Nothing. So why do videogames take all the flak? What makes me laugh more is that Mass Effect got an "M" yet GTA:SA v.1 got an "AO" for the same stuff. Otter
No, I think it was the fact that you pressed buttons to virtually have sex in GTA that garnered the AO rating. Even in the unpatched version, there was sexual content - strippers and a blowjob scene - that wa only given an M. Anyhow, my ire isn't really directed towards the host of the show, as she admitted her ignorance and seemed like she was at least trying to be impartial. Suction Testicle Man
I personally think those people are hilarious, I was giggling most of the way through. The standard of Fox News's journalism and research is a joke, so are their viewers, so are their guests. I like watching snippets for the pure amusement. You may get upset about this report, but watch a report on anything else - it's always the same thing. No research, misinformation, sh*t reporting (they can't even get their news readers to stop being opinionated asses). More like Fail News. Alien Side Boob. Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus
Fox News is a seperate entity from the Fox Network, and it does, quite plainly, have a strong conservative bias. Seconded. You won't hear a liberal saying we need another 9/11 to instill patriotism in people (John Gibson). You also won't see a liberal trying to censor the media, so we can 'protect the children.' Just look at Australia's media; they all act like soccer-moms, and they have no qualms about playing the moral authority, but that's just because there are a bunch of retarded neo-cons in Australia--Oh wait!. They do exactly what Fox News does... Face it, Fox News is news for conservative soccer-moms, who hate individuality, change, and anything that's fun. Check your stereotypes, sucka. P.S. I feel so old, I see people listening to their mePods, and I can still remember the days when everyone was listening to their personal cassette players. The times have changed! I bet all the 78-year-olds who watch Fox News can relate to this. *wink* Edited January 25, 2008 by Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus

Statutory Ray
Most people would say Fox has a slight liberal spin. This goes without saying for anybody with their head screwed on. The economic political compass no longer goes any further right than Hitler, so saying FOX is slightly left is like saying your residence is north of Antarctica. In terms of social policies, they are very authoritarian, not very "liberal" at all. All-in-all, America is closer to fascist communism than anything else at the moment.
