There is NO way that they would specifically alter the game to make one version of the game dominant over the other. They want to sell as many copies as possible. The delay will turn out well for both consoles, more content from R* and more polished game for us gamers. Incedentally the lack of a hardrive on the 360 version is so that 360 core-owners can play. R* wanted to make the game available to more people to play. R* IS NOT BIAS! Maybe the PS3 was the main cause of delay. Maybe 360 version would of sucked if it came out October. Iminicus Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 call me a fanboy or whatever. but at the end of the day gta has always bin a playstaion franchise and if 360 had the technology to keep up with ps3 the game would have bin out in october , yes the ps3 can be difficult to program for more than other consoles but if 360 had blu ray etc they wouldnt have had to waste extra months trying to cater for both consoles. It doesn't matter if you have 360 or the PS3 none of you guys have enough comportment to show respect to someone who is also waiting for something probably as eagerly as yourself. I would hate to look down on people but you lot bragging about consoles you don't know sh*t about makes you look pathetic. Seriously I can't believe you guys divide yourselves by console, it's the most primitive human design and you are all ridiculous for being such suckers for it. Grow up. You're all going to play the same game, and the frame rate isn't going to affect how happy you are when you finally play it or how satisfied you'll be when you finally get it. tommasi Posted January 25, 2008 Share Posted January 25, 2008 do you really think it would have been ready even if it wasnt the ps3s fault? from what Ive read from all the previews they knew they showed it too early to begin with. I think it's a good action to delay GTA IV because of PS3 ! They delay the game for about 6 months. Because, as mentioned several times in this post, BOTH(both as in the PS3 AND the 360) had some pretty bad technical issues that needed to be sorted out. Plus im sure theres a legally binding contract that prohibits this as well. For all of you who keep crying about it, imagine if they would have done that. You would have got the poor frame rate and older graphics shown in earlier builds. Then they would have took time and refined it on the PS3 and released it later. So yeah. of course the development for the ps3 will be harder (because thet had little experiance with it), but rockstar have now got the ps3 and 360 up to the same level. So what's the problem? Look to the future, stop bitching over which console is better, everybody picked there console for there own reasons, There is no wrong or right console and you don't have to live with other peoples decisions. So lets do everybody a favor and stop bagging the consoles.
