Waddy
The next James Bond film is to be called Quantum of Solace, producers have confirmed. The title is taken from one of a collection of short stories published by 007 creator Ian Fleming in 1960. Source Cant wait.

One of my fav ever bond movies, apart from all the Sean Connery ones that is. I'm partial to OHMSS, it's a shame Lazenby didn't stick around to do more. He's no Connery, but hellovalot better than Moore. In some respects. Yeah, I'm excited for this one as well. I do hope they bring a little bit more fun back to the series, though. Action for the sake of action gets tedious after a while - even if it is really cool.
Don Garcia aka NjNakedSnake
A more direct take on the film, for the lazy, taken from MTV.com: The title, from one of Bond author Ian Fleming's short stories published in the "For Your Eyes Only" collection, actually has little to do with the plot on the surface, but everything to do with the secret agent's emotional state. The short story, which takes place at a dinner party, is a domestic drama of love, hate and revenge, during which Bond learns that though his adventures may be exciting, at the end of the day, no one truly cares about him. No one gives him "a quantum of solace." The movie "Quantum of Solace" hints at Bond's lesson in humanity but in a different context, since it picks up "literally an hour after the last film left off," co-producer Michael Wilson told the reporters gathered at Pinewood Studios. "There are no flashbacks in the film, but [his recently departed lover Vesper Lind] is certainly on Bond's mind," co-producer Barbara Broccoli said. In "Quantum," due out November 7, Bond's mission takes him to Austria, Italy and South America, the latter because there's been an attempted coup by a businessman named Dominic Greene (played by Mathieu Amalric), who wants to control access to the world's natural resources. Greene is a member of a mysterious organization and is allied with an exiled South American general, General Medrano (played by Joaquín Cosio). "He's not an over-the-top villain," Amalric told reporters. "No scars, no metal jaw."
Otter
No metal jaw? See, I always dig a little bit of the over the top sh*t. Oh well. Maybe he'll have one iron testicle or something.
Seddo
That is a pretty sh*t name for a Bond movie really, of all the names they could of chosen . Still should be a good film as most Bond films are.
cold fusion 33
Twice as much action as Casino Royale? How could they top the airport scene? How? That was actually amazing... I... Can't... Wait... Thanks for the heads up Waddy .

Still should be a good film as most Bond films are. Because they prefer to use existing Bond names rather than make them up.

TheDude5000
I'm not too crazy about this name...I don't really care if it's from one of the novels, it just doesnt really work as a Bond movie name. It'll most likely be changed, like Rambo was.

TheDude5000
Eh, this name just doesn't really sound too good. Casino Royale, Die Another Day, The World Is Not Enough, Tomorrow Never Dies, Goldeneye, License To Kill, The Living Daylights...all those names just work. But this name does not really work too well, IMO. I honestly haven't even seen Casino Royale yet...but from what I heard it was good, so this one will most likely be good as well. Oh, and that really hot chick from Hitman is gonna be in it, so that should be interesting too.
Straznicy
I hate what they've done to Bond films recently. Why can't we return to the days of camply dressed, quasi-fascist Russians or monocle-wearing, cat-loving super terrorists?
*C-Note*
Happy day! I knew this already,I'm in MI6 forums and this is great news! Twice as much action as in CR-that's awesome! I'm dying to see it. Craig is the best Bond for sure!

Kippers
Not one of the most catchy names on the Bond Movie/book lists i ahve to admit but it'll grow on me as the film draws closer. Sounds like something out of a Sci Fi movie Edited January 27, 2008 by kippers. 習うより慣れろ
Otter
Craig is the best Bond for sure! Thank You, Thank You Very Much. No way. Not at all. I mean - he's good. He's just not very good looking. He's not the sharp dressed man in the corner, he's the weasely euro-trash dude dwning whiskey at the bar. He's great in the actions scenes, but I think Lazenby was pretty good at that too. He looks like he can kill someone. Moore,Dalton and Brosnan looked like they can't do damage to anyone stronger that Vodka Martini. And Craig does all his stunts. He looks like he can pass the SAS selection.
Mav.
I'll be honest, when I first heard the name I though it was sh*t, but it's since grown on me. After I heard the meaning, 'mathematical method for love', it sounded better and really suits a Bond movie imo.

GTA3Freak-2001
It sounds odd to start with but honestly I think its no different to some of the other named movies. I am sure many of the past movies titles sound odd at the time. And by the way the movie has nothing to do with the short story of the same name, much like some of the other movies with titles from Ian Flemings short stories. I mean Thunderball and Octopussy! Would of seemed slightly odd at the time no?
