I'd like to cause a lot of mayhem, but guns are rare when you first start. I could cheat, but I don't like to do that on my first playthrough, so I'll ride around for an hour, try out the nice cars and bikes, then do missions.

 

I hate the last couple of months leading up to the release of a GTA game. I went through this with Vice city, and San An. Waiting sucks!!

For me i always do atleast 10+ missions straight away when i get gtas. Then i would to a little bit of pony farming. Also before all of that i read the whole manual .

I'm not going to lie, here is my To Do List:

 

Wander into a dark alley at night

Crash into a wall going very fast (VERY fast)

Get drunk if I'm able to that early in the game

Then crash into a wall drunk

Get into a lot of fights

Try to start a riot at star junction

If there is no instant starting mission, I will probably walk around, looking at the new people and places, then wait untill I see a car, Jack it, check out the stations, then look for better looking cars to rob. I will probably start a mission about 15 minutes later.

I like all the answers, most likely as soon as it hits the R* logo, i'll probably have a heart attack or seizure and so it may take a while for me to get going but i will probably attempt the first mission and when i hear the *COOL* jingle as pointed out by kikizo i will do the hammer for 60 minutes straight before getting ready for another sitting

People are saying there going to shoot someone, and or shop for clothes or do something with money. i think it has been confirmed that you don't get a weapon right away, and I dont think you will have money right away.

 

I will walk around, get in a fight, steal a car, drive around, crash my car, call 911, steal that cop car, use the internet, do a mission. I will do something like that.

I don't think you will be able to use stairs for a jump for motorcycles any more. Two words. Not realistic

first thing I will do is find a subway or a bus, and check if its possible to take subway/bus ride and at the same time interact with the interior, like pickpocket people or take the whole bus hostage and try out will Niko give demands and slowly execute the hostage one by one, if the police won't do what I say.

First thing Iam go do is wait in a alley until a police officer walks by then Iam go drag him in the alley and beat the crap out of him and take his gun then steal a car and put the police officer body in the trunk and drive @ until I know the city real well

i am proabably going to enter some weapon cheats and then kill eveyone that i see, hotwire a car, run over more people, start a highspeed police chase all around where ever i can go, then have a battle to the death with the cops.

I will play some of the starting missions, get a sense of the stroy, character and mood of the game. Go around crusing and listen to the radio tracks (will end up getting lost due to not knowing where i am beacuse its a new map) and then start causing that infamous GTA style destruction we have all grown to love.
