Ovidiu93
I have a slow computer and I don't know wich one is better for my pc. PIII Intel 700 mhz Intel® 82810 chipset 128MB RAM Intel® 82810E Graphics Controller 32MB Intel® Integrated Audio I seen on this forums that gta vice city runs better but I don't meet exactly the minimum requirements (It requires a 800 mhz procesor but I have a 700 mhz one) and I don't want my pc to "blow up".GTA Vice City is cooler but I'm not sure if it will work fine. Please help me. gamenerd
If you can run GTA 3 you can run GTA VC. GTA3 somehow needs more .
gtamodder
Well, VC Runs better then GTA3. It has something to do with the engine. I think you may still be able to run VC. I knew someone who had a 299mhz processor and it still ran
hygraed
It's because Vice City uses something called "occlusion volumes." GTA3 would always render everything within the draw distance, regardless of whether or not it was visible to the player. This resulted in a lot of wasted processor power, and thus it ran very poorly. Occlusion volumes prevent the engine from rendering anything the player can't see, which ended up being much more efficient. That's why Vice City looks and runs better than GTA3. J-Fox
Yeh, Vice City runs better - but don't expect it to run smoothly. A friend of mine has a 1000mhz pc and gta vc runs at 10fps (could be the graphics card though)
Ovidiu93
Yeah but what about the RAM.I know gta vice city needs 128 ram and that is quite a problem.

Ovidiu93
I still want to know how well gta vice city will run in comparison with gta 3.
gtamodder
I still want to know how well gta vice city will run in comparison with gta 3. Vice City will run smoother then GTA3. There seems to be a problem with the GTA 3 Engine, the game tries to display lots of the city at the same time. I'm sure that's why it doesn't run as good as Vice City. Vice City, runs smoother as it does not try to display lots of the city at the same time.
Ovidiu93
Even if my pc meets only the minimum requirements, gta vice city will still run better?
