Spazifool
The scaling of Liberty City looks excellent. Just check out the Helicopter compared to Niko. In the other GTA's your head was near the blades pretty much. Nikos bearly reachs the top of the doorframe. And that just got me thinking, in the previous GTA's the Cars have been really small compared to your Character, do you think cars will actually be quite life like scale compared to Niko? Do you think this has happened? I just love how big that Helicopter is compared to previous GTA's
*MURDOC*
Proportions and such are definitely more realistic this time around as they stray from the previous somewhat cartoony style from before.
seriouslycrazy
haha good observation. Niko looks like a midget in that shot. Maybe you're right, they are taking a more realistic approach...
LCM
I didn't even notice Niko in that screen shot when I first saw it . I'd only skimmed it, though. But yeah, you're right, looks great as opposed to the others.

ceedot
Good find The characters were rather larger than their surroundings in past games, and I think Rockstar noticed it as well. It didn't effect gameplay, and was unnoticed a lot, but didn't feel too right. Now the surroundings can feel more real, and everything looks better. I guess Rockstar took it up a notch, even if it's hard to tell.

tinman187
I never really paid attention to scale size, now that i think of it, yes, your right. This just adds to the excitement and anticipation.

Magic_Al
In earlier GTAs it was a problem that the player character, cars, and peds all seemed to be to different scales. Not so much in SA but in GTA3 and VC I remember a lot of peds didn't look like they could see over the steering wheel when they drove.
